Ambassador Program
Posted by Sarah on August 2, 2021 at 10:18 pmIf you’re passionate about Aptera and our mission, you might want to learn about our Ambassador Program. We’re currently interviewing applicants around the world who want to help us usher in a new era of efficient solar vehicles for the benefit of people and the planet.
Ambassadors have a wide range of responsibilities including attending events and promotional activities, providing product feedback, engaging on legislative issues, moderating social media forums, and more.
You can learn more about the program and apply to join our growing community of Ambassadors here.
If you have questions, please email Ambassador@aptera.us.

Sarah – just received my Aptera hat and updated my profile picture! 🙂 Waiting for your call!
-
Thanks, Ron! Looks great 🙂 Are you officially signed up for the program? We’re thankful for your support!

Hi Sarah! I emailed Aptera about the Ambassador Program a couple of weeks ago and haven’t gotten a response. Can you help out please?
By the way… I wrote another song for Aptera. Check it out on You Tube:

Hi Sarah! Thanks for accepting me into the program!
@everyone: Just letting you know it takes some time to review your application but the team at Aptera do review them. All of us are eager to participate but just give them some time 🙂
-
Thanks for the update Juan! I think this demonstrates the eagerness of those who want to participate and running a thoughtful candidate selection process.

Hi Sarah, I’ve applied to the ambassador program a couple of weeks ago. I live in British Columbia, Canada and I’d like to be involved in helping Aptera gain traction in the Canadian EV market.
Many people I’ve spoken to have concerns about how Aptera EV’s will perform in adverse weather conditions primarily excessive rain and snow. I’ve already been clarifying people’s doubts through word of mouth and intend to start a YouTube channel to reach more people.
I’m a pre-order holder and an investor. Everything in nature has been optimized to use least amount of energy to get the job done and I’m stoked that Aptera is trying to replicate nature in that sense. I’m a strong believer in efficiency and truly want to assist Aptera succeed in an effort to contributing to a better world for our children and the future generations to come.

Is Aptera still accepting new Ambassadors? I applied several weeks ago and have not received a response. Perhaps there was some pre-determined limit and that has been reached?
-
It was mentioned in the last Ambassador webinar that they were planning on limiting to 500 ambassador’s, but I have no idea where the number is presently or if it is a hard number.
-
-
Hi, Sarah. I applied several weeks ago, but haven’t received any response. Are you still reviewing applications like mine? I gather there is quite a backlog due to the level of interest and this may be slowing things down.
-
Ray, a lot gets covered in the forums here and Aptera may not catch everything posted. Advise that you send your info request to ambassador@aptera.us
-
Thanks for your suggestion Oz Man. In fact, I have emailed ambassador@aptera.us two times. Once about 10 days ago and a second time 3 days ago. I’ll wait another day or so and emailed once more.

Hi Sarah,
I would like to apply for Ambassador status, living in Florida, I believe I can promote the vehicle with very good abilities. How can I apply, when the application area is closed.?
Thanks
Frenchy

Frenchy, Aptera is working hard on closer monitoring of requests here, but they have a large backyard of social media, etc. to cover. Your best course is to email your information request to, Ambassador@aptera.us. Happy to hear from excited Aptera fans.
Oz.

Oz is right about a large backyard of requests. That said, it doesn’t appear there is any monitoring of emails to Ambassador@aptera.us, based on my own experience. I emailed them my request to be an ambassador 2 weeks ago, after being ignored on my first request via the previous method of applying that did not use that email some 4 months ago. It looks like that first method used Survey Monkey, but it is no longer functioning. It would be nice if Aptera would simply email “sorry, but we have enough ambassadors already”, but I have yet to get even that basic of a response. In any case, it isn’t being handled very professionally.
-
I have signed up to become an ambassador. Filled out the form and everything. Haven’t heard anything back.
-
They may not be accepting any more applications for ambassadors. they had suspended reviewing/approving ambassador applications sometime ago. I am not sure if they have resumed. Either way, they owe you an answer.
-
-
Brian, go ahead and recontact them through email. Usually no longer than 2 days for response.

Hello Brian!
We’re excited to hear about your interest in joining the Ambassador program. Although the program is currently paused for new members, I will be in touch with you directly when the program is open to new applicants!
-
I believe I attempted a while ago. However, I never heard back. Maybe It was closed. Thankfully, I have submitted the application again and am eagerly awaiting a reply!

What are the actual benefits of becoming an official Aptera ambassador? I know there is no order/delivery upgrade. Is it to get information before the general public? Or is it simply to push the brand? Personally, I am going to educate my friends and family about Aptera. I don’t need any special ambassador designation to do that. Most of my friends and family are not the type to gravitate to EV technology, mainly due to political views. Too many on the “right” are knee jerk anti EV. I believe, if done properly, EV makes perfect sense. Are there drawbacks? Sure. Can they be overcome if done properly? Absolutely. I think Aptera does things right. I’m in the choice over mandate club. I plan to push Aptera’s great ideas to my circle of friends. The benefits of Aptera need to be pushed to the entire political spectrum. I will be an independent “ambassador”.
-
Richard, there are very few specific benefits to becoming an official ambassador, although I did get a nice tour out of it. You learn more being in this forum than we get directly from Aptera. We all love the design and ethos of the company. We believe the world needs vehicles like this and want to do what we can to support them in their efforts. I do battle with those anti EV people all the time and sometimes do not even mention Aptera in the process. I figure they are not smart enough to understand. Nothing wrong with being an independent thinker or advocate. Good on you.

I would like to become an ambassador, I am a reservation holder, industrial education instructor for 32 years, part f the detail team that does all of the Barrett Jackson auctions,
hot august nights, and good guys shows and automotive events at Carlisle Pennsylvania.
I have been spreading the word about Aptera since I became a reservation holder and feel that more people need to be aware of your journey and get involved the the solar vehicle movement.

The program has been paused for new member since last summer – don’t know when/if it will ever be re-opened.

From the socials:
Hey Aptera Ambassadors, Happy Friday ~ and more Happy Summer of Solar Mobility!
Heads up, you should have received an email from Sarah Hardwick, our amazing CMO, a bit ago. We hope you have the chance to check it out today. We can’t wait for the upcoming webinar on June 22nd and look forward to reviewing your survey responses. Cheers to the solar-powered future we are all writing together each day and the NACS standard being adopted by GM + Ford because of all your hard work.
Stay sunny,
Your Aptera team

He covers several things but the ones that most interested me were on the Elaphe motors, shows & events, production, and the body. I’ll just touch on the last a little; I surmise the bodies will be wrapped in Italy before they are shipped to Carlsbad for final assembly.
BTW, is there a list somewhere of the ambassadors and their regions?

So it isn’t allowed for we “great unwashed” to know who is an ambassador near our location? 😉
-
Not all ambassadors are keen on the idea of being contacted by strangers, whether washed or not. We didn’t agree to give up our privacy, just to promote Aptera.
-
I assume I’m of the unwashed variety, since i applied twice to be an ambassador and never accepted. It’s ok, I’ve moved on, but a simple reply from Aptera as to why I was passed over would be appreciated. That said, i’m not expecting one after over a year since applying. I live in the midwest, so I guess Aptera has more than enough ambassadors there.😂

-
The current list will be updated as it only has less than 1/4 of the Ambassadors listed.
