Dominos Pizza is ordering 800 Specially configured Chevy Bolts for pizza delivery vehicles. A role that would be ideal for Aptera and less cost per delivery for Dominos.

The Bolt is cheap and it’s available. Aptera is a year away from delivering anything to anyone and years away from being able to deliver fleet orders. Fleet sales is what auto companies do when they have an old product with dying demand. Fleet sales aren’t particularly profitable because fleet buyers buy the most stripped down vehicle they can, car companies do them at the end of life of a vehicle because they have an amortized production line and fleet sales allow them to milk the last few drops of value out of their investment.

By all means …. If a company is willing to prepay for their vehicles to secure production, I’m all for it.

Problem…BOLTS are being manufactures as we speak.

Problem 2…even though APTERA is the most efficient vehicle you can reserve, it is a large vehicle that truly is not made for most city streets. All the runaround food delivery vehicles are small or smaller for a reason. They allow you to squeeze through traffic to get to your destination ( most cases ) in a time restricted manner.

I would consider more of a distant type courier, possibly transporting document, small packages, something that would undercut overnight deliveries.

Perhaps in the future Aptera could create a dedicated model which was more suited for short distance / city road / last mile deliveries (i.e., smaller battery, single motor RWD?, narrower & smaller footprint overall, side-hatch, optimised more towards stop/go efficiency rather than high speed efficiency, maybe even single-seat).

But you’d probably be talking 2030+ rather than anything sooner, there’s lots of higher priority things they should work on first, since a more general purpose city car would sell far more units than a delivery-only specialist vehicle.

Dominos should have ordered 800 Arcimoto Deliverators, a good role for that vehicle.

Probably one of the few roles, don’t order any carbonated beverages though. If you do, hold it away from your face when you attempt to open.

😆😆😆 (I actually didn’t notice a bad ride on my short test drive, and the roads around old Sac are dubious at best. I found it kind of fun to drive myself. They keep trying to get me to place an order, but not at that price point, with that range.)

Worst driving/riding experience I have had with any vehicle. 😡
