I’m having trouble adding myself on map. My order # 12851, zip code 12498, can anyone help? I live in upstate NY and also have a home in Florida, so hopefully I’ll drive my 1000 mile range Aptera up and down the east coast soon…

Welcome, Diane. Good to see more women here on the forum. Your route down the East Coast would make a fine story for Aptera to use as a promotion!

In the map, I entered my address in the search field. There you should see a add option and you select the green Aptera logo. Then save.

Yes , I’m positive it’s easy but when the search bar does not appear it’s impossible. Not sure if that’s the issue Diane is having but that’s my issue. I’m in NY too. Not many of us here so far.

Adding in not Poss on a mobile device. I added myself on a Windows laptop.

So you need a desktop OS. Mac or Win.

    I using a Win 10 laptop.

Once I am in the map, I see a search search bar at the top with a magnifying glass to the right of the search bar.

I added my address in that search bar.

It takes me to the address I entered with a green pointer.

An info box shows with the address I searched for with an “Add to Map” at the bottom.

    Press the Add to Map.

To save, press the + at the top right.

You can edit & change the icon tp the Aptera icon with the pencil EDIT tool.

You can edit the info area with what you want.

    Hope this helps.

Apparently the order numbers are assigned randomly now. They used to be sequential starting with 10,001, but that changed quite a few months ago now.

Oh. I was looking at the Aptera Icon pins….

I like a Washington Red. Maybe you should offer that to tie back to your state if someone finds you and they like that !

I did a project in Spokane and was introduced to a glass of Washington’s fine wine over some nice dinners, while watching the amazing Spokane Falls that rush through that old town. Nice water feature!

But a Washington red ???? would be my first choice ????

without wanting to get greedy, I really wished, for the sake of the planet, that I was living in the U S of A right now. If this vehicle could be developed simultaneously in Europe(Tesla… and I really do not want a Tesla…) that would be more than awesome. That said: my place on the map is 8000 km across a very big stretch of water in a very very tiny country with a very very exciting capital, yes AMSTERDAM…

There are only 368 entries total on the map, so only about 1 in 40 reservation holders have found the map and entered their location. Statistically, there should be about 170 reservation holders in the Netherlands.

<div> I just realized this forum exists. Added to map. Question: has someone started a Google sheet where we can add our pre-order number, configuration, and location? I figure it will be useful when delivery emails finally start sending out that we could track who is receiving what configurations when, as Aptera has been saying it’ll be mostly battery dependent after the Paradigms.</div><div>

    </div>

(BTW is it safe to reveal our order number? Wouldn’t want someone claiming to be me when mine is ready)

      Welcome Jacob!

That was a part of the initiative for the map when it was first suggested. Reservation holders were to provide their configuration and reservation number, location, and other information. Some did but most didn’t. I am sure concerns with privacy.

We understand now that the number is not a sequential reservation number. Apparently at first it was, but was changed to a reservation ID number. Delivery of production vehicles will be done by a different process now that is based on the configuration (400) mile configuration first followed by other configurations starting in California, West Coast of the U.S. then move East, then overseas.

All of the above may change as Aptera is able to plan more concretely.

For sure, you will be contacted directly based on your contact information stored in Aptera when it is your turn to receive a production vehicle based on whatever the final distribution scheme is.

I wouldn’t reveal your order number, the risk is probably minimal but there is no reason to do it so why bother.

Actual delivery order is unknowable at this point. Aside from the fact that the Paradigm editions will ship first and that proximity to San Diego will matter a lot there is no way to predict who will get them next. They haven’t articulated a support strategy yet and that will have to play a part in choosing where they deliver next. They will need to hire rangers or find partner garages in each region and there will be a lot of randomness to that process because it takes time to find, hire and train people. Having to ship a car back to San Diego for service would be ridiculously expensive and time consuming for anyone in the Midwest or East Coast, it wouldn’t even be a satisfactory solution for Northern California. Most people won’t be willing to pull the trigger on their order before they know what the support situation is in their region, that will mean that people who are willing to risk having a brick sitting in their driveway will be able to jump ahead in the line.

I actually just contacted them about this. I already knew that they support right to repair and said they would ship parts. I am good at fixing stuff so that works for me, prefer it actually so I don’t have to deal with a repair shop. I was curious if they were going to design a repair certification program so I could help fix others people’s Apterae, and they responded, “we are building out our maintenance/repair and technician network as we get closer to the first deliveries targeted for Q4 of the year,” and they are looking into a certification program.

It sounds like they will be actively looking for people to repair Apterae, I would assume where they know they will have the most vehicles roaming. With a certification program, that also allows people like me to volunteer.

How do you do it? I can’t see any way for anyone other than the creator of the map to do so.

I’m in Prescott, AZ but don’t know my reservation # as all I was told was I was in the 2023/24 timeframe.

    • Curtis Cibinel

      Member

Everyone was told the 23/24 timeline; its is just static text on the webpage. Reservation numbers haven’t been given since last ~September but if you reserved recently you are ~20-21k in line (note those that had reservation numbers started at 10k). Location, and configuration will definitely impact actual delivery order (to what degree is TBD). Since the reservation was only $100 (or less) the number of reservations converted to sales will definitely not be 100% (I’m guessing maybe 50-70%).

I would imaging any Paradigm+ (very early 110 orders for 1000 mile) might be a little annoyed since the pack development makes those take substantially longer even if they live near Aptera’s plant since that will be the last pack type to start production.

      Hi Dennis,

      • Open the map
      • Find your location
      • Once you’ve found your point click the “Add Marker button”, you can find it under the search bar, it’s the button to the right of the little hand symbol.
      • You’ll see a box pop that will automatically have name, something like “Point 482” the press save.
      • Click the pencil icon to edit the text, you’ll need to add your name into the second box if you want to see it published on the map, press “Save”.
      • Then click the paint pot symbol and you’ll see some colours & icon appear, the Aptera logo is on the third row down, close the box & you’re done. 🙂

Only one visible order from Quebec.

EVs are HUGE in Quebec. And distances are huge too, which is a perfect match for Aptera.

Is there anyone one here who is bilingual and can do some French language outreach?

    • Curtis Cibinel

      Member

All that tells us is that of the preorders only 1 person found and added themselves is one to the map. It is likely far more reservations exist from Quebec. The map is only a small subset of the preorders. Per capita BC actually has more EVs and factoring population Ontario is kinda pathetic. Here in Kelowna its absolutely insane the number of Tesla’s everywhere (in an average 10 minute drive I typically see ~15-20 of them); more EV options are needed.

I noticed that Quebec seems to have a disproportionately high number of PHEVs which might be due to a rebate advantage or something. No idea why they lumped the territories in with BC but odds are it is statistically insignificant given population. https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/71-607-x/71-607-x2021019-eng.htm (link in top right for French)

To put data in context BC has a population of 5 million, Quebec is 8.5, Ontario is 14.5. No other provinces have any significant EV numbers including Alberta where Nathan is from

Hopefully French localization will be addressed for the infotainment in Aptera itself but I wouldn’t think Aptera would prioritize making more of their sales communication and business processes in French given that overall francophones are a very small percentage of North America. Spanish for the Mexican market is probably a higher priority but I wouldn’t think either would be an immediate concern for sales / support.
PS: Forum ate my post when I tried to add the same text google translated…
