Factory pickup/delivery

I live in Florida. I would like to take delivery at the factory & take a tour of the factory at delivery time. I would then drive back home in my Aptera. I plan to record my trip home on a travel blog. Will this option, to take delivery at the factory be available? Also it might be cool if more of us followed the same pattern. It would be a great marketing adventure!

I believe that a number of people are planning to do that, and Aptera seems to be OK with it. Something to arrange with them once vehicles start being delivered.

So, after seeing the horror stories from Tesla owners about the poorly assembled Teslas, I was wondering if I could pickup my Aptera at the facility. I’d really like to inspect the vehicle before accepting it.

I was also wondering if doing so would allow me to get my car sooner. I’d love to take the car on a road trip with my dog through Colorado to visit some friends.

I currently have a 2010 Honda Civic LX which is on its last legs.

I’d really like to get my car sooner rather than later as my only other option will be to lease a car for a year to hold me over waiting for an Aptera. Honestly, I’m getting pretty sick of driving an ICE vehicle.

In a recient video they mentioned that for awile after deliveries start that most of them would be picked up at the factory. I think that would be true for most of us who have been waiting years for it!

Even if they offered to send the Aptera to me, I’d STILL want to take a week, possibly longer, driving and stopping at the great places to see

Supposedly they will deliver first to those within a 400 mile radius of Carlsbad, most likely starting in SoCal, then expanding to Central California, Southern Nevada, and Arizona.

I’ve been entertaining the idea of picking mine up at the factory and driving back to Maine. Wondering if I could register it in Maine before I flew out to SD to get it.
