Drive Aptera in 360
-
I saw a look for bit ago and I think it’s one of the best views we get for driving. The one thing I noticed were the massive blond spots where the C pillars would be in a normal car. Anyone else see that?

In a “normal” car you’d be relying upon a rear-view mirror to see through a rear window – in Aptera you’ll have a rear-view video screen that shows a much wider and unobstructed rear view, rendering the “B” pillar width inconsequential. Those who opt for the full-solar package will have no rear window whatsoever.

The best answer to this problem is to have blind spot/lane change warning in addition to the rear view cameras on the sides and in the center.

I can see me putting temporary Curb Feelers or flag on the top center of the wheel pants until I get a feel for where the passenger wheel is. I noticed the driver does take the turn kind of wide.

I think the feelers are a good idea! Thanks! You always have good practical ideas. I will do that when my Aptera is delivered. I can absorb the cost of the feelers and small impact of aero vs. having to to buy (Maybe multiple) wheel pants replacements. Then their is my Chinese wife’s driving….and a grandsons driving….. Maybe need a lot of feelers. Like training wheels on a bike 👍😁
Of course….my driving is perfect…….
