I’ve been just coming down from the buzz around the Fully Charged Show North in Harrogate UK over the weekend of 19-21 May 2023
I wore Aptera merch, was the only one representing the company there, happily talking to people who asked about the progress so far, met around a dozen UK reservation holders who all asked me “Is one here?”, met one UK Aptera Ambassador, had my referral link scanned by at least another 6 people, and even did a ‘reverse sales’ job promoting Aptera to the BYD UK sales manager and team, who were curious to know more.
Hopefully you can see what I did with my car, using the starting point from Raj Giandeep’s in-window poster. A few ‘got it’ when I turned up in a 17yr-old diesel car, covered in Aptera pictures and facts, and then added “If I can make the change, can you?” to it. Overall a great event.
I also talked to the Fully Charged presenter team, all of whom are fans of Aptera. I also had a great discussion with Roger Atkins, who visited the San Diego show in 2022 – he’s mostly over on LinkedIn, mostly wears a white stetson, and is connected in with companies like Rimac – and another keen Aptera advocate!
I’m not sure how big an upload can be attached here, but I’ll try adding PDFs of the posters I used in my car, plus the badge/stickers I made. The photos are of my car, plus me getting out of a Rivian R1T, and fitting into a Microlino ‘bubble car’!

Is Aptera going to come to the east coast?
Maybe I missed it but there is a lot of progress with the delta model doing a world tour but I would really like a chance to sit in it and show it off to my friends in person in the southeastern states.
My grandparents refuse air transportation. Max we can drive from here is 13 hours ( why I need aptera in my life) but I would gladly do that and stand in line for a chance to touch it.

Unlikely to see an Aptera at an event too far from their San Diego base for quite a while (6+ months?).

The Mitty at Road Atlanta. Look it up. This is an event that all car guys in the south East try to attend. Porsche, BMW, Corvette, lambo’s, etc etc all have very large car corrals and Major car company’s are all there. It gets tremendous car exposure via the net and TV. An Aptera would be able to do some Parade laps on the track in front of everyone, tv (espn) cameras included.
It would be the talk of the event. It would be huge.

Aptera needs to be seen in action. Not just sitting still at a car show. Its look is futuristic. Let the future be seen by a large group while in action. I can visualize it coming over the hill approaching the front straight at speed ( but safe) and silent. It would be amazing. The cameras would not be on another car while Aptera was on the track. The tent feature would also be a stand out. The south east will be an important market and this could be a grand introduction. I would be glad to help coordinate the logistics in Ga and at the event. We ( friends and I) have very close ties (not in a financial way) to them. Let’s do it! This event is watched all over the world. Marketing needs excitement. What would be more exciting than this?

Cars n Coffee in San Clemente would be a good place to drive up to. It’s free and would give lots of exposure to automotive enthusiasts, and collectors who might be potential investors. Every Saturday morning at 8 or 8:30.

Who/what from Aptera will be at the Fully Charged show in Vancouver in September, and if so, on what day(s)? I’d like to buy my tickets, but I’m mostly going to see Aptera. Will Chris or Steve or another rep be there? Will a pre-production vehicle be there? I don’t see this info posted elsewhere.

To my knowledge( i.e., old query ).. for the Vancouver poster… that was just a reuse of the Aptera picture from the San Diego Fully Charged LIVE 2022. BUT I hope I am wrong as it would be sweet there!
You can always follow the Fully Charged San Diego 2023…the future Birthplace of Aptera!🤞😉

Please reply if there is a change. It’s unfortunate that there’s a picture of an Aptera in the advertising of the event in Vancouver.

Aptera has announced that they will not participate in Fully Charged Live in Vancover, but, as posted, will be at Fully Charged in San Diego. Things can change however sin there is a report of the ambassadors.

I was an original signup back with the first Aptera back in the day… even though I am in North Carolina, I knew that eventually these would be made street-legal in all states so I signed up without pause! Here now years later I’m proud to again be on the list waiting excitedly!
The thing that I’d most love is to see a national tour for the Aptera! Even if I couldn’t test drive one, I’d love to see one in person! So far the dates and locations published in 2023 for the Summer of Mobility are all in California though…
Does anyone know if this will branch out and be a tour of the US? or if there are major cities and dates planned? I’ll travel regionally to see the Aptera for sure!

Aptera simply doesn’t have the resources to do that currently … it only has 45 employees. To do a nationwide tour would involve a bunch of people spending the best part of a year travelling around.
Once it has production funding and has ramped up, then I think it would become possible.

A national tour would benefit greatly from having actual production vehicle to show folks.
Presently Aptera has no vehicles to show anyone. Aptera needs to deliver vehicles to current reservation holders as their first order of business. I doubt there will be any national tour before 2025 or 2026.-

This is a worthwhile idea, Ryan. Even shipping one of the Alpha prototypes to half a dozen major cities would be great. I’ve had my eye on a location in Cleveland, Ohio that would be a great backdrop — The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This adjoins the Great Lakes Science Center that has an impressive array of solar panels and a wind turbine out front. A perfect pairing for an Aptera:)
Nevertheless I must agree with Bruce that until production Aptera (Apterae?) are on the street and Aptera is getting some income, a USA tour is not workable.
How about a virtual USA tour? This could be a version of the old “Where’s Waldo?” books. “Where’s Aptera?” We could submit location pictures from around the country and someone with digital graphic expertise (not me!) could Photoshop an image of Gamma into each of the pictures. End result could be an online slide show.

I think a national tour will be when early adopters of Aptera start taking delivery. I expect to see mine in 2025, but in the meantime I’ve been telling people about it and sharing their website.

I would love to see them park it in front of the Massachusetts State House so that our pinhead legislature can see that it’s not a motorcycle. They killed the autocycle bill in committee last year and there is no move to revive it.

PLEASE come to Electrify Expo in New York August 12-13.
YES! I want one a tour (at least a small one). I think it would be GREAT if Aptera could make it out to at least a few national conventions. Especially the NorthEast. I know that there is an Electrify Expo in NY (Nassau Coliseum) this summer (August 12-13). It’s the largest electric vehicle festival in the Northeast and would generate a LOT of interest, publicity, and MEDIA COVERAGE if Aptera was there.
I want to go to the festival but ONLY if Aptera is going to be there. Otherwise, I’ll stay home. I’m in CT, but from NY and am currently near #1000 on the Investor list. I’ve told everyone within earshot of me about the Aptera, but most people think I’m nuts for thinking this is going to make it, let alone invest $10K in the company. Having Aptera at a northeast event would do a lot for those on the fence and reassure many of us who are concerned about our investments. Plus, so many of us just want to SEE the car in person. I’m willing to travel but California is just so far. I’ve never seen Aptera in the news or on TV, except for social media clips and links. Coming to an event this large would certainly change that narrative. PLEASE come to NY or a neighboring city. What do I have to do to see/experience an Aptera that doesn’t include coming to Cali? (I’d actually come to Cali if it wasn’t for the cost). -
Of my nation, sure. We definitely need to see Aptera in the flesh in Europe.

Hopefully, delivery of the first 5,000 will happen in 2024 in Carlsbad, at least 1/2 of them will be driven to the owner’s homes all over the country. If there could be people around the country volunteering to host events with at least one of those driving on their way home, this would be events around the country.
I have already made one possibly two arrangements like this, for my way back across the country. I would be open to do a few more during our road trip home.
Since I am already an Ambassador, I will be setting up more small events around Michigan when I get it home and attending every EV event that I can. I am thinking for the first year it will be a mini event every time I park in a shopping center parking lot.
So if we could have a special site to help coordinate this it would be an explosion of events across the country

Charlotte Auto Show in North Carolina might be a good opportunity. It is in November 16 – 19 and is pretty big. Maybe one in southeast and one in northeast regions to spread the word.

If the purpose of brining an Aptera to an event, is to expose more people to it and have them ask questions about it, the Woodward Dream Cruze can’t be beat, as in one day, millions will be exposed. There are allready many who will volenteer to support the attendance in this event, by talking to people and passing out fliers along the way.

Go to the website NEWS…..Look up Driving into the Summer of Solar Mobility… there are instruction to text a phone number to get alerts… I didn’t get a confirmation immediately after the text but… It worked for me and events are in my calendar. I hope that helps

Sent “SOLAR” to 619-484-0230 on June 30. I haven’t received any texts about events nor have I seen anything show up in my calendar related to Aptera events.
