Fully Charged LIVE will be in San Diego this coming year, 10th & 11th September 2022. Seems like a perfect opportunity for Aptera.

Has Aptera given any thought to showcasing an Alpha car at any auto shows? Fully Charged Live is being hosted in San Diego in September. I want to go! It would be awesome if we could see – or better – sit in – an Aptera while so close to Aptera’s home base.

Hi Gary! Thanks for posting about this. We really look forward to sharing more about our 2022 event plan in the coming months as it’s a top priority for our Aptera Members to experience the solar electric dream machines firsthand! We value the importance of having an up close & personal experience with Aptera. We’re also aware of the Fully Charged event happening in San Diego in September! Stay tuned; it’s on our radar. Furthermore, we are prioritizing events that will allow us to educate communities on not only Aptera’s extreme efficiency, but also our mission to transform the world into a less destructive and more creative place through our breakthrough solar technology. We cannot wait to announce our upcoming events schedule. As Aptera Members, you’ll be the first to know. 💚

I plan on almost everywhere I go will be an Aptera event, at least for the first few months. Starting with driving it across the country, to places where no Aptera has ever been. Meeting people and spreading the word.

If you can get a rich person to buy and donate one to their favorite charity, Omaze gets tons of views by raising money for charities by auctioning off cars, houses, etc. I think the Aptera can be awarded pretty far into the future, getting a lot of eyeballs before delivery, since some of their auctions do run for months.

I would be DELIGHTED to see** one anywhere in South Florida, up to Orlando. St. Augustine is too far and the auto show there is for rich people anyway, so if you do that one, add a second show for us regular people. (**If my husband could sit in it before buying to see if he has old-people access issues, I’d be much more reassured about handing over that much money.)

    Hi Sarah,

Contact these folks for the DoD Power & Energy Summit for <strong style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;”>July 6-7, 2022. https://power.dsigroup.org/ They are constantly talking about going EV. Lots of talk but no action. Bring one so that these folks can actually touch and feel it, you will likely get an immediate bite.

Not this year but for the following, I would also suggest the off-road model.

Aloha Ray, Thanks for posting. I was wondering if they we’re going to host anything like a show n tell at the San Diego facilities or a no-host dinner near the show? Something social.

Mahalo, Casey. Good question. Don’t know the answer to that. You might want to send an email query to Brooke Engerman, who is Aptera’s PR person. Send to ambassador@aptera.us.

The biggest event is the Woodward Dream Cruse with about 1.5 million attending with television coverage. Drawing people from all around Michigan. I am sure we could arrange for volunteers to walk on both sides of the street to hand out fliers about it. I think it could stimulate 10, 000 orders.

I have requested Aptera exhibit @ the Calgary International Auto & Truck Show March 8-12, 2023. I hope to see Aptera there.

Fully Charged Live just released the events schedule and exhibitors guide. Looks like Aptera has a pretty prominent spot (64) on the floor, and will have Sandy Munro as guest speaker at 10 am Sat.

Arizona events: Car Shows (arizonacarshows.com). You can probably drive out and do a couple shows over a weekend.

Lots of great suggestions, I love Pike’s Peak, and any and all Auto shows, Detroit, NYC, LA, and Barrett-Jackson, CES, Amellia Island, solar shows and environmentally aware events. Beyond that, print in JD Power, Consumer Reports, Car and Driver, Popular Mechanics, if it still exists, and all manner of reviews to be written. The YouTube community has had so many folks chattering about this, I think it might be nice to invite the (new press) to see feel and drive the finished product. There are many of them, and they seem to be a fan base, utilize it! Facts, like crash test performance, MPGe, 0-60 in 3.5/5.5 seconds, and range capability, to clear up any misconceptions. Place them in a special classroom to let them understand everything they want to know. They become as important as Aptera on the highways and byways of the countryside.

Well, I thought of something a couple weeks ago. We all know what a good idea it would be to be able to conform to and use Tesla’s charger network. Tesla has talked about “partners” for superchargers.

There has been talk by Aptera and other companies that no one can “jump” the line just because they are a celebrity. I see someone has the idea of auctioning off an early Aptera.

My question is: Has anyone given an Aptera to Elon Musk? Why not?!?!? First, imagine the publicty aspect. Second, it might be helpful in achieving other goals.

Yes, I know Musk supposedly hates 3 wheelers. I think that means he wouldn’t want to make them. Still, it sounds like a very good idea to me…

If, by that time you have good money coming in, Amsterdam Fully Charged live 2023 would be awesome. You would reach out to a tremendous amount of potential customers…The Netherlands..land of the Lightyear one and the Stella Vita.

Depends on were they are by the regarding production. Attending these shows is not cheap and extending the reservation list is fairly academic at this point. I guess the real question is if they think they will get enough investment out of the event as they would need to put into attending it.

Fully Charged in Vancouver is obviously far cheaper to get to. I will definitely head down to that one if they come in summer 2023.

I wonder if there will be a Fully Charged Show in the Northeast at some point? As an aside, I helped out with a local EV show put on by the Wells Energy Commission last fall; a much smaller event held at the local library (we have two charging stations there), but we had a great attendance and positive feedback from people who wanted to learn more about them.

Perhaps the World of Wheels event scheduled for Omaha Nebraska, March 10-12, ’23. Here is the link: https://autorama.com/attend/omaha-ne/

This event is just a couple months away for perhaps an appearance would set the stage for your product here in the mid-west. Omaha/Papillion/Bellevue are growing and other EVs are becoming common. I own a Nissan Leaf and love it. I’m considering an Aptera and have the itch to test drive one.

I know Jay Leno has featured Aptera twice on his show, and came away impressed both times. Being in Maine, I would love to see an Aptera at any event in the Northeast! There’s a few New Englanders on here who, like me, have a preorder in; maybe I will end up seeing one of you first.

    Nope.

If Lightyear crossed the Pond and traveled thousands of miles (from the Netherlands), for Vegas CES 2023. Why not Aptera. Carlsbad, CA was only less than 320mi away (others consider that “local”). It could’ve been a great venue for exposure, press, marketing and (for more) recruit investors alike (closer to that $50M funding). Aptera was even missing from last November’s 2022 LA Auto Show.

Yet they made it at Electrify Expo, in (also near to Carlsbad) Long Beach, CA last May 2022 (an actual Aptera booth with an Alpha mule, at least). Makes you wonder sometimes..

I can think of a few reasons.

    1. Aptera is not about the electronics, the knock to open the doors is something different, but not realy that exciting.

    2. If they had a Delta with full solar that would be interesting, that may be why Lightyear was there.

    3. I dont think that Gamma is back from Itialy yet, and the new Delta renders make it old news anyways, alough it would be nice to have a test ride in it.

“1. Aptera is not about the electronics, the knock to open the doors is something different, but not realy that exciting.”

Exactly. Yet EVs are a common theme throughout CES, even in the past.

All Aptera needs, is a booth presence at CES. Even without a Gamma (moreso a Delta), an Alpha mule unit on display would be just fine. Then Aptera could just have a big (or not big) monitor screen next to it, replaying the production intent Delta reveal video, as supplemental presentation. They can even play all other Aptera Press media videos, if they wanted to.

At the end of the day, it’s all about exposure. This is a missed opportunity.

One other reason, is that CES is not actualy for consumers, it is to get other companies to help market a companies products, a personal business card is required for attendance (an Aptera ambassador card may qualify).

Well then so be it, if that is the case. Aptera could have organized and pulled this..and yes with the brand ambassadors help (possibly from Vegas) to be included at CES. Yet nothing. Like I said, EVs are a common theme at CES. A big missed opportunity to distinguish itself/Aptera, from the rest. It’s all about exposure.

@James G Remember, too, that the smallest booth at CES is 10’x10′ – which would be too small for an Aptera so they’d need to go with a larger booth. A fully set-up 10×10 (with electricity, wifi, etc.) runs about $6K – the average booth at CES runs around $20K.

So it’s not quite the same as setting up a few banners and a tent in a parking lot…

“To make money, you have to spend money”.. you have heard of that, of course. Aptera can surely manage to cough up for a booth, if it wanted to. This is a once in a year “investment”. CES is MASSIVE, and caters to a worldwide audience (CES is often called “The Largest Tech Show on the Planet.”). Aptera blew it big here. This could be where Aptera would shine (including the Brand Ambassadors)!

Heck. Even Elaphe is at CES 2023 (see below; so as last year 2022).
