Aptera needs to be seen in action. Not just sitting still at a car show. Its look is futuristic. Let the future be seen by a large group while in action. I can visualize it coming over the hill approaching the front straight at speed ( but safe) and silent. It would be amazing. The cameras would not be on another car while Aptera was on the track. The tent feature would also be a stand out. The south east will be an important market and this could be a grand introduction. I would be glad to help coordinate the logistics in Ga and at the event. We ( friends and I) have very close ties (not in a financial way) to them. Let’s do it! This event is watched all over the world. Marketing needs excitement. What would be more exciting than this?

Cars n Coffee in San Clemente would be a good place to drive up to. It’s free and would give lots of exposure to automotive enthusiasts, and collectors who might be potential investors. Every Saturday morning at 8 or 8:30.

I was an original signup back with the first Aptera back in the day… even though I am in North Carolina, I knew that eventually these would be made street-legal in all states so I signed up without pause! Here now years later I’m proud to again be on the list waiting excitedly!

The thing that I’d most love is to see a national tour for the Aptera! Even if I couldn’t test drive one, I’d love to see one in person! So far the dates and locations published in 2023 for the Summer of Mobility are all in California though…

Does anyone know if this will branch out and be a tour of the US? or if there are major cities and dates planned? I’ll travel regionally to see the Aptera for sure!

Aptera simply doesn’t have the resources to do that currently … it only has 45 employees. To do a nationwide tour would involve a bunch of people spending the best part of a year travelling around.

Once it has production funding and has ramped up, then I think it would become possible.

This is a worthwhile idea, Ryan. Even shipping one of the Alpha prototypes to half a dozen major cities would be great. I’ve had my eye on a location in Cleveland, Ohio that would be a great backdrop — The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This adjoins the Great Lakes Science Center that has an impressive array of solar panels and a wind turbine out front. A perfect pairing for an Aptera:)

Nevertheless I must agree with Bruce that until production Aptera (Apterae?) are on the street and Aptera is getting some income, a USA tour is not workable.

How about a virtual USA tour? This could be a version of the old “Where’s Waldo?” books. “Where’s Aptera?” We could submit location pictures from around the country and someone with digital graphic expertise (not me!) could Photoshop an image of Gamma into each of the pictures. End result could be an online slide show.

I think a national tour will be when early adopters of Aptera start taking delivery. I expect to see mine in 2025, but in the meantime I’ve been telling people about it and sharing their website.

I would love to see them park it in front of the Massachusetts State House so that our pinhead legislature can see that it’s not a motorcycle. They killed the autocycle bill in committee last year and there is no move to revive it.

Not sure what it means but Sarah posted this on the LinkedIn announcement of the PG&E Innovation Summit (Elon Musk is a featured speaker) on 7/25 in San Ramon, CA:

“The team at Aptera Motors is excited to participate! “

The summit info is at : Summary – PG&E Innovation Summit 2023 (cventevents.com)

Charlotte Auto Show in North Carolina might be a good opportunity. It is in November 16 – 19 and is pretty big. Maybe one in southeast and one in northeast regions to spread the word.

Can I please second and encourage Charlotte NC?

If the purpose of brining an Aptera to an event, is to expose more people to it and have them ask questions about it, the Woodward Dream Cruze can’t be beat, as in one day, millions will be exposed. There are allready many who will volenteer to support the attendance in this event, by talking to people and passing out fliers along the way.

I would suggest a parking lot display at Daytona FL, almost any event at all.

If you offered test rides around the lot you’d be booked for days

Text notifications worked for the Huntington Beach Pop-up today! So glad to be able carve some time out to see Gamma in person. Absolutely looking forward to an opportunity to get a ride in the future. It was great to meet and talk to some of the Aptera team…everyone was so open to talk about their areas of expertise. That was really refreshing. I only wish I was better prepared to ask more questions. Also very nice to meet other Aptera enthusiasts… Ambassadors, Accelerators, Reservation holders and passers-by who are new to Aptera. It was definitely worth the trip. I hope some of our suggestions for other pop-up locations pan out.

Here in Arizona, they could bring the Aptera to 918 S Park Ln #103, Tempe, AZ on either Sat, Sep 23 at 3 – 7 PM, Sun, Oct 1 at 3 – 7 PM, or both.

Those dates bookend National Drive Electric Week, Sep 22-Oct 1, 2023, a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more.

I’m sure that, once they have a fleet of production-intent prototypes, they’ll be taking them to vehicle and tech shows around the country.

Luis, I share your wish. Auto shows seem like a no-brainer for Aptera. Lots of eyeballs at the major shows. That said, I do understand that Aptera has not signed up for any of the big shows like LA, Chicago, Detroit, or New York. Not having a vehicle in production plus the expense of shipping and staffing a presence are negatives. Renting booth space at one of these events is considerably expensive also. Given a tight financial picture for the company, we’ll likely have to be content with “guerrilla marketing” rather than traditional marketing.

Hopefully there will be some Aptera deliverys by DEW2024.

We should encourage thoes to particapate in at least one local event that recieve them in time. Also to try an cooridanate with at least one local Ambassador to help answere all of the questions they will get. This will be our best chance to cover a lot of area at the start of production. I’m sure Aptera will try and have some Deltas at some events, they should also try to cooridnate with local Ambassadors.

The East Coast is an Aptera desert. I realize that early Aptera production and delivery will be limited to California, but there are many current and potential Aptera fans on the East Coast who can help spread the love. How about Gamma out to one or two metro areas East? Washington, DC or New York or Detroit come to mind. Yes, it would be an expense for the company, but travel, lodging, and transport costs wouldn’t be a king’s ransom.

Ha! They won’t even come to Arizona.

It’s a pretty big request as Gamma seems to still need repairs. I think odds of going east would be a lot more likely *after* some of the Production Intent vehicles are built. I’d prefer one of those gets slated for a (future) national tour. 🙂

I would love to see that happen! There are some cities with higher EV adoption rates like Boston that they could benefit from. The question is timing. I think California is still the most compelling location given their high adoption rate and benefit on HOV lanes. Once Deltas are produced, I believe there will be 10 of them, I think they can make use of them after testing across different parts of the country. The Pacific Northwest , DC, the Northeast hub between NYC and Boston, Colorado, and Phoenix could be focus area. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Aptera could use the community on the cheap to spread out. I’m retired, would be willing to take a Delta and do promotions for the company on the east coast while also being a Beta tester for them.
