I don’t see any mention of a frunk, will it have one?

There is no frunk on the Aptera.

FYI – This is the sort of thing that can be “searched” on the FAQ spreadsheet.

Aptera’s power electronics and HVAC system are housed under the hood (bonnet) and there is, as Bruce stated, no plan for the vehicle to have “frunk” storage. There’s really no need as just about half of the body-length is a storage area.

Or if there is any frunk it will be very small and not have any room for luggage. Best case maybe room for some charging adapters or something like that.

I see very little space up front for storage space, and I haven’t seen the air conditioner yet. Why spend all the engineering and extra weight to mechanize a functionally safe “hood, latch and lock” and compartment, when a few screws can hold that lid down and keep from over-crowding the components under it. The picture of a frunk with Jay Leno left all the functional components so crammed in that you couldn’t work on it all without removing the frunk compartment. Keep it simple stupid (KISS).

When I was there I saw the Noir frunk area and nothing was designed for planned storage

It appears the hood will open forward too ( I think my old 72 Datsun 240Z opened that way!)

I was told “if “ they end up with any storage room there it will be e extremely small

They are only finishing alpha vehicles, so ????

If it holds and obscures my stored backpack/ ipad I’d be happy!

I would expect to hide the backpack under one of the two opening floor panels behind the seats, or get the full solar package and build a bulkhead/curtain behind the seats.

Does this mean that there is storage in the front compartment also? This would be cool if this were the case.

What do you mean by “front compartment”?

Once again, emphasis on efficiency – no wasted space up front. 25 cubic feat of storage in the back. Reminds me of the form factor of my gen 1 Honda Insight

On one of the Jay Leno’s garage episodes on YouTube they show a small box at the “frunk” that they mention a small box to store the rear tent, of course this could have changed since it aired. It begins at the 13:35 point.

This Alpha doesn’t have AC, heating or functional solar – so there’s room under the hood…

Some stuff under the hood. There will be more crammed in there too. This is viewed from the rear.

I guess the production Aptera will have no frunk. But it does have a runk.

Especially with the leftover battery space (for options under 100 kw) the lack of a frunk (if that turns out to be true) is meh. I need a space for my emergency shovel, folding chair and first aid kit despite using them rarely. Those wont all fit in the alpha frunk anyway. Personally I’ll probably space the seats up a little since both me and my wife are 5’7″ and its designed for far taller. This also makes for some under seat space and a more comfortable position.
