Nobody can know the answer to this. Will they have compatible packs in 10 years, will Aptera even be in business, will there be third parties that can replace the batteries in the packs. You would have to be Nostradamus to know the answers to these questions.

Noone can predict the future but lets look at this:

Reasons for Optimism:

– Cells batteries are industry standard 2170s

– The 25 kwh is the smallest leaving lots of room in the battery tunnel

– The solar cells are similar to those on other cars and are not critical to the function of the vehicle

– Aptera embraces right to repair

Reasons for Pessimism:

– Aptera is a startup and could fail in that time
– The batteries are not a big rectangle like most EVs
– Control systems on cars are increasingly integrated, locked down and complex
