Serial Numbers?
A lot of vintage car buyers make a big point of matching serial numbers. I don’t think that Aptera will have that, but will the original buyer get a list of the parts serial numbers so there will be proof of everything being original if/when the vehicle is sold to another party? I suspect that this will only be important on the Launch Edition or for someone wanting proof that the Aptera hadn’t been in an accident. (Not entirely sure if that last scenario is important either, since there is no frame that can be out of square.)

I don’t know but Apterae will have their unique VIN so doesn’t that tie back to a Bill of Material used to manufacture?

Serial numbers are usually on the body, frame ( chassis) and engine. Most of the documentation like transmission, axles, or major components have serial or model numbers recorded and kept with vehicle papers.

Thanks. I hope Aptera does this for my Launch Edition. It’s not a super low number, but still valuable to me as the original owner.

A build sheet with all the original serialized parts would be a nice touch. My understanding is that the inventory control should be able to handle that fairly easily, if they choose to do so. At the very least, for the 6 or so sub assemblies that will be used in final production.

+1 for personalized build sheet that states all options selected and weather we are launch edition, paradigm, accelerator or all 3. I can’t imagine there will be as many possibilities as a classic tho. I found my build sheet for the car in my profile picture hidden inside of the front bench seat.

That is definitely more like what I’m talking about. From what I understand about Aptera’s inventory and lean manufacturing practice, actual serial numbers will be used for almost everything. So a build sheet with all such serialized parts would be nice.
For example, even the individual solar panels will have a discreet serial number, not just a part number:
