I am sure that most everyone here has some ideas of what they want to see in their smartphone app that accompany their Aptera, after seeing a link to this youtube channel on some other discussion, I figured it would be a good idea for it to have its own discussion. To get a complete idea of the whole concept watch the 3 of them.
i was ralking about a deisgn to replace infotainment screen with phone app too, and aftermakret HUD, but i hear it requires software updates for every times android and apple OS updates its software. maybe if people are willing to switch to a linux GUI OS like pureOS sort of thing itdd be ok.
I guess my view is the same as I expressed on the other thread related to this UI prototype.
Aptera is building their own app. They are in the best position to do so as they understand all of the Aptera systems, software architecture, and sub system interfaces. Aptera can best and most efficiently construct the interfaces to these systems and the onboard UI to pull and display their concept of what information will be available to drivers. These videos display the tip of the iceberg, screen mockups. Most of a functioning app of this type is the large part of the iceberg under the water that interfaces with the Aptera software architecture.
This UI also represents the concept of one person rather than a team. Aptera’s version will be developed collaboratively and iteratively with the engineering and marketing teams to be consistent with the Aptera message and in response to the results of marketing research.
My last comment, I hope the creator of this prototype copywrites his design to protect his IP so nobody else can steal and use his ideas.

My point is not about what this guy has developed but more about getting people to bring idea to what they would like to see in this kind of support app, I am with you when you say that the Aptera people are in a much better place to develop such an app.😉
