Solar cell layout and wiring

I found this picture and wanted to post it on the Reddit Aptera page but can’t figure out how to post a picture, so here it is. Notice that all the cells are connected in series. This might give us some insight about how the solar cells are configured with charge controllers or inverters. Any ideas?

I can understand why you would conclude they are in series, but I’m withholding judgement.

My count of the cell in each column from left to tight:

2+3+5+7+8+10+12+12+10=8+5+3 = 85 total cells

I recall seeing this picture before and also recall thinking “Aptera better not put them all in series!” Way too much peak power current “mismatch” due to differential solar irradiance.
