@Blanco 👍
“When the tigers broke free” Pink Floyd

Brahms’ String Quintet #2 in GM, Op. 111 – nothing tests the range and accuracy of a speaker system better than acoustic string music: The sparkle of the high violins must be clear and crisp and the mellow depths of the cello must resonate in your solar plexus.

For every time you pull out of a lot into the street, you could always go with a little Strauss…
Also Sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30

A true audiophile! If it was classical I would select The Bartered Bride by Smetana

<div>Well I’ll be super excited to drive it for the first time so something like this 😁</div>https://youtu.be/t5s0m8HezW0

Whole lot of thoughts and choices here, (Really wish the children with no impulse control towards the top weren’t trying to spoil things though.) But I think I might go with…..

“Child with no impulse control…” Yeah, trying to spoil things. Christopher Cross’ Ride Like the Wind or Wu Tang Clan’s Protect Ya Neck 😁

Great taste in music, Oz. I was about to chime in when I found this. Now I’m thinking of changing to Let it Roll. Actually, a lot of good ideas here. Think I might put a personal Aptera mix together for that first ride from California to South Carolina. In the mean time (probably about a year before delivery), here is the beginning of a short list to consider:
1) Let it Roll.
2) Finger Tips (Stevie Wonder).
3) O Fortuna from Carina Burana (Carl Orff).
4) first movement of Verdi’s Requiem.
5) finale of the Saint-Sean’s Organ Symphony no. 3.
6) Money for Nothing (Dire Straits).
Starting to get excited. Think I’ll add the upgraded sound system to my order.

Not sure why, but this one sounds just right for the occasion. (Although Oz’s “Let It Roll” by Little Feat is fitting and has always been one of my favorites.)
-
KraftWerk: Autobahn, followed by Eagles: Take it to the Limit.
Cars! MEATLOAF! Paradise by the Dashboard Lights!
Also thought of Also Spracht Zarathustra

Some classic techno, lol. Want to test the sound system. I don’t listen to techno much, but when I do, nice speakers help.

That’s a very difficult question to answer. Too many factors to contemplate. There will be at least a year before I get mine. No telling what B@$$ Ad song comes out between now and then. My mood, day of the week, and who is around can change what that selection will be.
As of this very moment without putting much thought into this, here’s my probable top 5:
“Cars” by Fear Factory (cover) or the original by Gary Numan
“Going The Distance” by Cake.
“High Speed Weekend Survivor” by Feed Me
“Energy Wizard” by Squarepusher
“Carry The Sun” by The Glitch Mob
-
Ride of the Valkyries by Richard Wagner

Going with the Pink Floyd theme, “Learning to Fly” Next segment courtesy of Brit Floyd, an excellent tribute- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oU5Wme_Y3DA Aptera, wing-less bird, seems apropos. Just an Earth-bound misfit, I…

To test audio in new car speakers, I’ve always used Queen and 39 and the Prophet Song! They get me speakers range and channels going back and forth.

Queen – The Prophet Song

But for some quality mood music for driving in such a sweet ride, can I recommend instead:
Four80East – Eastside

My go-to audio test music is the credit music from “Cry Freedom”

The first thing that sprang to mind was Willie Nelson singing “On the road again, like a band of gypsies we go down the highway…”
But truthfully, when I pick the vehicle up in Carlsbad, there will be silence for quite a while. I have to hear to it talk to me for quite a ways before I’m comfortable playing music.

I’d be willing to sacrifice my first song to the Apteran Gods. 😛
