Mr. Nowak, this serious business. We should have had more lead time for such a prestigious decision. But….I guess, under the pressure of a tight deadline and since I ordered a Noir, mine will be called K.I.T.T 2.0

Polly – for polliwog – The car kind of looks like one and it is the first step in the transformation of the frog. Much like the Aptera is a first step.
-
If Michael claims Polly – I’ll claim Wog! Whereas Polly could be misconstrued as a parrot, Wog will have no identify other than the Aptera!

I’m kind of torn on this one. I have always used women’s names like “Gone in 60 seconds”. However, I may end up going with Helios on this one. If I go with the Gi60S option, I will probably end up using Christine especially if they incorporate the summon feature.

The name for my Aptera is a no-brainer: Slick … as in “Hey, Slick, where you wanna go.”
-
I already have a name for my Aptera:
Surya Namas-car
????????It’s a play on words from ancient Sanskrit: Surya means Sun and Namaskara means Respectful Salutation.
And, just as in many yoga traditions:
Each day, Aptera will greet the sunny day and gain energy from it, which, simultaneously will help bring harmony not only to itself and its owner, but also to the planet. …much in the same spirit as what the original expression intended.Plus, when the Aptera has both it’s doors open, it looks like it is in the Warrior One position of the Surya Namaskar flow routine.

I like the name with the Namas-car part, lol @Fanfare 100 🙂 I practice Kundalini Yoga & meditation & Surya came to mind as a possible name too.

This will be slightly different for the thread, however the members will probably get a kick out of this.
I just recently got a new dog. Her new name will be Luna in time. Right now her name is Lulu. Once she calms down and gets use to her new life, she will be known as Luna.
I’m not a fan of dogs having human names. I also wanted to give her a name that is close to the original. Luna just seemed like a good fit. It helps when is white.

Bullet or The Bullet. Of course if I get the Luna – The Silver Bullet.

Not a name, but a plate. In 2015 I had NX-01 (Enterprise) as the plate for my Ford Fiesta, I’m hoping to get NX-02 (Columbia) for the Aptera.

I’m hoping for a voice response UX interface, so what to name the car does indeed become serious business. As in ‘Mr Sulu, warp factor 3 please’. Some name I otherwise wouldn’t say. Thinking of names from my family history, Severn, Buttercup, Maurice or Freda come to mind. Dumbledore? Gandalf?

After watching some old sci-fi, it occurs to me that “The Interocitor” would be a great name for an Aptera! It might have to be a Noir and one might want to stencil a few of those stylized atoms on to the vehicle here and there. Aside from sounding cool and the simple sci-fi geeky appeal, consider that in the original context, building/owning the novel tech interocitor is a demonstration of passage of a critically important intelligence test.

Cool, Dark metallic green, with a thin green film over the headlights. Or get the Noir and put a light green film over the whole car?

For those who like to name their vehicles, what moniker will yours go by?
Ours will be known as Korra…
