In talking to people that live in snowy icy climates with no garage they tell me if you do not have a cover over the charging port you may run into issues removing the plug after an ice storm. Have others ever run into this issue? I wonder how Aptera will address this issue if the plugs are located upfront. Will they offer a boot as one of my friends bought for her Chevy Bolt?

Your concern about the heat transfer skin effect is valid. I asked them 7 months ago during one open meeting and they responded they have addressed this in their design. I would hope so living in AZ where the temps hit 120F. But at least it is a dry heat.????

I’m interested in a toad as well but to transport by a contract auto truck carrier it cost a lot more to ship using a flatbed because they can only ship three at a time versus an auto carrier which is up to nine.

I look forward to when I can travel and camp in my Aptera at National Forests and BLM campsites across the USA. My first trip will be from San Diego to Florida then up to Maine. From there I will travel across the northern states through the UP of Michigan and then run down the Rockies home to Arizona.

After that, I plan to tow this vehicle while it charges its self behind my small RV.????

Jaron, If you slow down the video to .25 secs on YouTube you can see it is either a black napkin or a small piece of a plastic bag on the road.
