Hi all, I’m back from vacation! I appreciate all the website reports. Official statement below:
While the Aptera team was on holiday, a backend update resulted in several visual artifacts on the website. We want to assure you that no customer data has been compromised. All reservation and investment information remains securely stored in our CRM software. We appreciate your patience as we work to promptly resolve this issue. Thank you!

Sandy misspoke. We are still using Elaphe hub motors. If there was ever a vehicle change for any reason, we’d announce it to all our reservation holders. 🙂

Aptera vehicles have cooling for the motors and inverters and are incredibly capable. Gamma’s cooling system has yet to be completed due to its jam packed investor tour in Europe, but has never experienced an issue. Due to the hot summer days and extreme hills, it became clear that the cooling system must be completed before Gamma performs any additional media visits.

Even though we will not have DC fast charging to start in the Launch Edition vehicles, we plan to offer a DC fast-charge capability at a rate of 100 miles in 10 minutes – eventually and as an upgrade to the Launch vehicles at a later date.
I want everyone here to keep this in mind. Being an early adopter means you get the coolest and most efficient vehicle ever made. The production of the Launch Edition vehicle will open up the doors to all our hopes and dreams for future capabilities. We have to start somewhere, and the Launch Edition marks a time in history when Aptera will change the world. Seriously love you all and appreciate your support. We want to succeed with you, and make the best vehicle in the world. 💚

Aptera has a world-class finance team who is committed to ensuring Aptera is in a strong financial position for the future. With the recent milestone of our solar panels beginning production, our Gamma reveal and continued work on finalizing our Delta vehicle, we couldn’t be more optimistic about Aptera’s future. We can’t wait to share more announcements and supply agreements in the coming months.

We are establishing partnerships in the affected states to ensure that our reservation holders can purchase and obtain Aptera. The team will be announcing more information in the future, but in the meantime, please know that we are making significant progress. Thank you for being part of the paradigm shift.
