Unless you were already one of the investors of the Accelerator Program adding to your investment would not change your overall position in the queue. This program closed back in January of this year. Only those original investors of $10k or more can invest further to possibly move in their position.

The fact that you are planing on an LE will put you way ahead of others who are waiting for something else. Until APTERA announces its full production, there is no way of knowing what your number may be. I expect many who don’t want to wait for what they truly want may still switch their order for an LE. I’m pretty sure APTERA will announce when they will close for any further changes so they themselves will know how many LEs they will need to produce. Originally APTERA mentioned they expect about 5,000 LE orders but are happy to accommodate more.

With turned off traction control, It would be cool to take it on an oval dirt track and see how it handles a 3 wheel drift around the corners. Who knows it could be the ultimate drift vehicle. 3 wheels, light weight, low center of gravity, plus I believe weight is also biased evenly over each wheel.

My understanding is that both front wheel hoods will be visible while driving. I sat in Delta prior to them allowing you to move the seats, I’m 5’7” and had to sit on drivers seat set for tallest drivers, so I personally couldn’t tell, but I have heard from others who were able too see the wheel pants while driving.

With the rear being much narrower, it should also make it easier for other drivers to pull in parking spots next to you

I wouldn’t drive the current APTERA on the streets of Europe. It’s hard enough to drive a midsize vehicle around some roads I have driven in Europe. We are talking about the US for now, Europe will have its own iteration of the APTERA.

I was also concerned about the width of the APTERA. After speaking to several Ambassadors who had an opportunity to drive the vehicle they said it was actually a pretty easy to drive. The big reason was that you are able to clearly see the wheel hoods while driving. Therefore it’s was easy to maintain centering your vehicle between the lines. Just like most things, getting some time behind the yoke will further create confidence and comfort.

There is so much variance between cold tires and those that are being driven which affects tire pressure. Also you can add seasonal temperature that also affects tire pressure, especially in the winter. I prefer what many companies are doing now and showing you the exact pressure of each tire. You can tell now if one tire is slightly off compared to the others which can signal a problem with that tire or its alignment.

Not sure if it was just for the LE’s?

Basic cruise control ….Will be standard.

Sound System with built in subwoofer also appears to be either standard or available.

Steve Fambro is an audiophile and it was necessary for APTERA to also have a better than average sound system. The APTERA’s interior is considered a very good inclosure for audio and should provide excellent acoustics.

Hopefully APTERA will have the last piece of the puzzle solved at this event…FUNDING

You can’t compare solar car racers with the APTERA. Solar racers have minimal space for its driver with extremely poor ventilation. Solar racers are designed primarily for distance efficiency and energy needed to achieve that distance, comfort is secondary. There is quite a bit of space in the APTERA and it will have ventilation, both cooling and heating as standard.

Congrats Sean-spillerto as one of our newest members. With the first body now being shipped to Carlsbad, we can almost taste what will hopefully be deliveries by 2025. I am actually happy to hear of someone who is patient and has a long term plan for receiving their delivery.

Chris M from Aptera confirmed it’s being airfreighted.

Which helps your turning radius….you don’t have to compensate your front entrance to avoid the corner of the curb.

Elaphe is actually a confirmed partner and between APTERA & Elaphe they are confirmed as the supplier. It was I believe the inverter that is still in question, as there are possibilities of having better pricing along with better fit for APTERA’s needs. APTERA is prioritizing with how they order their parts based on development need in a sequence that fits their final product.

Thanks Biker….Love the new observance of turning radius around corners, something I haven’t considered!

Maybe to limit the look of the abbess, a lighter colored coat of flat paint to cover the scallops. It doesn’t need to be a professional exterior paint job, just something that could be brushed on. Flat paint won’t have any reflective properties and it should brighten up the storage area. I will have to see after delivery if it even needs to be done. People need to remember though, when they look in the rear view mirror, they will only see what’s behind the vehicle and not behind the cabin.

Manufacturing may begin by the end of 2024, but I don’t believe they will deliver until some of APTERA employees have had them for at least several weeks as daily drivers to discover any bugs or possible problems that have not been discovered previously to manufacturing. At least I hope they do, since many of these vehicles will be too far away to fix once they are delivered.

I’m not sure we are all thinking correctly here. I interpret Steve’s statement as a change to initial manufacturing starting with the LE. Somewhere down the road if APTERA is successful, they can always add what we are all concerned they will be taking away now. My thinking is that there will be changes with the LE.

Thank you for that huge find Mike. Now manufactures have to balance between safety and cost. I personally like that this is happening.
