Pablo Ucar Joins Aptera Motors as VP of Production & Procurement

Aptera Motors, a solar electric vehicle company creating the most efficient transportation on the planet, has hired supply chain expert Pablo Ucar to join its growing team as Vice President of Production and Procurement. He will lead manufacturing systems and factory operations to bring Aptera’s unique vehicles to market.

“At Aptera, thinking differently is a core part of our culture, and that’s reflected in our manufacturing operations as well,” said co-CEO Steve Fambro. “Pablo has an innovative mindset around factory optimization that will be incredibly valuable to Aptera as we race to deliver a production-intent vehicle by the end of the year.”

In his role as VP of Production and Procurement, Pablo will be responsible for all aspects of supply chain management and building the factory that will ultimately fulfill the more than 11,000 pre-order reservations Aptera has garnered since launched. In addition to the layout, Pablo will be focusing on the quality, production and financial systems necessary for Aptera’s factory to be as efficient as possible.

“I came here because I wanted to work with leaders who are real, cool people who know the challenges of building companies and aren’t just chasing shiny objects. It’s a meaningful product, and now we’re going from a dream to actually making it happen.”

His first priority at Aptera will be putting an accelerated process in place to validate manufacturing systems. According to Pablo, “That level of precision will give us credibility, confidence and full transparency to our team on performance and results.”

Previously, Pablo was President of USH’s manufacturing division. He was Vice President of Supply Chain at Faraday Future and sourced the partners and components that went into the FF91. He also served as Sr. Director of Supply Chain at SpaceX, VP of Operations at Grupo Antolin, and Director of Operations at Detroit Diesel.

Pablo has an MBA from Thunderbird, a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology.

He lives in Huntington Beach, CA with his family.
