I have been following Aptera Motors Incorporated (and their Aptera 2e back then) since 2006. I was living in New Jersey, and because they were based in California, I couldn’t put down a reservation for a vehicle. But I never forgot about Aptera, and in 2019, I did an online search. To my delight, I saw that the company was coming back with the original founders as Aptera Motors Corporation. I reached out to the owners to confirm if it was really happening, and I was so pleased to get the confirmation that “YES” things are starting to come to fruition.
Personally, it was the mission that drew me in. I love how it’s ultra-efficient. The whole solar movement really grabbed me, along with the fact that Aptera is doing something that others are not creating. Aptera as a company, along with its philosophy, really speaks to me.
I became an Aptera Ambassador because I want them to be successful. I have invested in the company, and I have been a moderator on an online forum, but beyond this connection, I just feel deeply connected with their mission. It gives me a warm feeling knowing that I am doing something that will be beneficial to the planet.
For many decades I spent a lot of time in airplanes, flying around the world for my career in the pharmaceutical industry. I was involved in a number of different global projects in a wide range of countries. Some of the products I supported were medically necessary, and I am proud to have helped save lives. After millions of commercial air miles accrued, this was even more of a motive for me to get an environmentally-friendly Aptera and bring their positive contribution to the earth to fruition!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book “Aptera’s Mighty Mission” with my six grandsons – they all loved it. (WOW! That’s neat, Gramps!)
I’ve also ordered the Aptera Sol, 60 kWh; I need the range because I plan to use it across the country. I have decided to go with all the options, and I am number 59 in line.
Some people won’t get what “Aptera” is at first and what it represents. But I really hope that Aptera’s philosophy will resonate. Perhaps, for some, it will be that “go to vehicle” in the household. It’s an exciting vehicle that I can’t wait to drive!
