Aptera seats two passengers. Its seats are designed to comfortably fit individuals up to 6’8″ tall, providing accessibility and comfort for a wide range of drivers and passengers.

Aptera’s solar panels replace traditional exterior panels, allowing the vehicle to self-charge as it drives or sits in sunlight. This setup maximizes the use of solar energy, reducing reliance on the grid and potentially eliminating the need to charge at a station, a feature that results in significant long-term cost savings for owners.

While the 3-wheeled, 2-seater Aptera is a pioneering step in solar-powered mobility, we have ambitious plans for future models that include larger vehicles with more seating. In the coming years, we aim to introduce options that expand seating capacity and vehicle size to meet the diverse needs of consumers. Our scalable technology easily adapts to larger vehicles, maintaining the same efficiency and performance standards. Additionally, we plan to develop a four-wheeled version to further broaden our lineup and continue pushing the boundaries of sustainable transportation. We’re excited about evolving our offerings and delivering even more eco-friendly options to the market.

From January 27th, 2023, until the 2,000th slot was filled, anyone who invested $10,000 or more was added to our leaderboard. The person with the highest total investment on the Leaderboard at the end of the program received the first delivery slot in the queue, and the remaining 1,999 slots were ranked by investment amount.

The first 5,000 + vehicles we will produce will be the 400-mile range Launch Edition vehicle, followed by future variants which we anticipate to be the 250, 600, and 1,000-mile versions. The timing of future variants has not been announced yet, but we should have an estimate once we start production for the 400-mile range version.

The Aptera Paradigm Edition was announced in early December 2020. This was a promotion for our first several hundred orders, and these Members will be some of the first in line to receive their vehicles, after the Accelerator Program vehicle slots, and priority delivery slot investors. The Paradigm Edition includes a 400-mile range battery pack.

Our plan for the future of Aptera’s production involves moving away from the traditional, inefficient model of a single large facility. Instead, we will establish smaller, decentralized assembly plants, starting in the U.S. with locations in key regions like Northern California, Texas, Virginia, and Georgia––to name a few.

These initial U.S. facilities will each be capped at 20,000 units per year, ensuring efficient scaling and quicker production cycles.

As we expand, we will take this model globally. By decentralizing manufacturing, we’ll create a more flexible and efficient supply chain, bring production closer to markets, and streamline customer service by attaching service centers to these regional plants.

Aptera was created by Chris Anthony and Steve Fambro in an effort to make a better future for the planet possible through more efficient transportation. You can learn more about how Aptera was conceived and launched in this video.

Our 77,000-square-foot facility in Carlsbad, CA, USA, will produce up to 20,000 Aptera vehicles per year, with one vehicle rolling off the line every 12 minutes. Solar panels power the facility, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and minimizing our carbon footprint.

By incorporating Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) into the production line, we reduce costs and boost efficiency, streamlining the manufacturing process. Each Aptera undergoes rigorous quality assurance within our lean manufacturing system, ensuring a high-quality vehicle is ready for delivery directly from our factory.

Aptera Motors is headquartered in Carlsbad, California, where our team is striving to deliver the most efficient solar electric vehicles in the world.

When someone uses your link to place a pre-order for an Aptera, they receive a 30% discount on their reservation fee, and you earn a referral point. Once the referred customer takes delivery of their vehicle, each referral point converts into a $1,000 credit, which can be applied towards the purchase of a future Aptera, add-ons, upgrades, or merchandise. You can find your unique referral link by logging into your Aptera account at www.aptera.us and navigating to “My Account”, then “Referrals.”

Aptera’s Brand Ambassador Program has grown into a global network of over 500 passionate members who embody our mission and share the benefits of solar electric vehicles rooted in efficiency. Each ambassador plays a vital role in driving our vision forward.

Ambassadors represent Aptera at events, raise brand awareness, speak to communities about our mission to transform transportation with solar power, and manage initiatives such as running our Reddit forum.

Once we have completed validation and testing of our production vehicles, we will begin test drives near our facility, at events, or on the track. We will keep you posted on the timeline through your Aptera dashboard and our email newsletter and social channels. Our team is excited to launch a vehicle that promotes a world that runs on sunshine and freedom from the gas or charging station.

We love taking Aptera to events for the community to experience it firsthand! Stay up to date on Aptera events by subscribing to our email newsletter and following our social channels.

Aptera is the world’s most efficient solar electric vehicle with the ability to travel up to 10,000 miles a year on free power from our patented solar panel design. It can also be plugged in like a standard EV with its Launch Edition battery range of 400 miles. Aptera’s unique body shape allows it to slip through the air using less energy than other electric and hybrid vehicles on the road.

We are not offering visits to the Aptera facility at the moment. Our Engineering team is currently focused on validating and testing our production-intent vehicles, which is crucial for starting production.

In the meantime, we plan to take our vehicles to different locations for those who can come meet with our team. We will keep you posted on event opportunities as they are secured.
