25,000 Apterae: What does it mean for our planet?
When we first revealed Aptera to the world, we wondered whether people would take interest in such a unique vehicle, despite its ability to travel farther than any other and charge itself with the power of the sun.
Since our launch in December of 2019, we’ve continued to see an outpouring of interest and support for our solar electric vehicle. So much so that we’ve built an incredible community of fellow forward-thinkers and forward-movers. We now have over 150 Aptera team members, 700 brand ambassadors, and 10,000 investors across the globe driving our mission forward. We couldn’t be more grateful to be gathered together, in a common vision, to make the world a better, cleaner place for those that come after us.
With the help of this global movement, we’re proud to announce that we’ve accepted close to $1 billion in pre-orders with over 25,000 vehicles reserved by future Aptera owners in the U.S. and internationally.

Each year we will…
- Save over 13 million gallons of gasoline
- Use free energy from the sun to travel up to 275 million miles
- Prevent 250 million pounds of CO2 emissions from entering the atmosphere
We know time is of the essence when it comes to saving our planet, which is why we’re working hard to deliver our first pre-production vehicle by the end of this year with the goal of ramping to full-scale production in 2023.
