More on Aptera’s Beta Development, New Locations, and Delivery Timing

As discussed in the video, we’ve been making great progress in the three spaces we’ve secured in San Diego for beta development, R&D, solar composite manufacturing, and final assembly.

In our Beta Development facility, we’re building the first Beta composite bodies, bonding them together, constructing the suspension assemblies and electrical components, and getting ready for the first drives by the end of the year. The first Beta vehicles will have several different purposes, including suspension and drivetrain testing, interior mock-ups, safety testing, HVAC, and other testing needs as we push towards production. We look forward to sharing more as we progress. Look out for videos of our track days, performance and safety testing, and other details over the coming months!

Just around the corner from our Beta development facility, the demolition and construction of our 80,000 square foot final assembly location is well underway. We’ve finished demolition, started construction, and hope to have it ready for our occupation in February or March of 2022.

In other news, we’ve signed several significant supply agreements with strategic partners around the world. These agreements are critical to bringing Aptera to market and we couldn’t be happier to set them in stone. With these supply agreements and help from our production partners around the world, we are confident that we can start delivering our solar electric vehicles in the later part of 2022. There are now over 15,000 future Aptera owners from all over the world and we can’t wait to begin our deliveries very soon.
