How’s this option looking for the launch edition for a future upgrade/modification?

Thats interesting but when importing i really hope aptera will already at the very least make them “EU ready” for easy imports.

Also remember youre importing a three wheeler, not a car. Which has different rules.

I rarher hope they can manufactor aptera in europe. Many parts already come from europe…

But also hope we get more details this year.

Before mid 2022, production was set to end of 2022, with still gamma and delta and now the launch edition revealed.

Why is the production now delayed for a whole whopping year? What happened that aptera didn’t know before?

    Or is it purely funding?

Wondering if we can set the aptera that it feeds electricity back into the house at night when needed, and set the maximum wattage perhaps.

The simple answer is no. I think a lot of people would choose a alternate EV if aptera went up more then 10-20%.

The prices of ev’s dropped recently because tesla started a price war.

Aptera is efficient and cheap to drive, but if a alternative is costing a fair amount less to purchase and offers more seats, rapid charging, more space to pack goods, then i think the aptera will quickly lose it’s space in the grand scheme. However aptera will always have a place in the market with it’s efficient and unique design.

The more power you draw to the batterys for charging, the more cooling you need. Very sad that aptera always mentioned a slowish 50kwh charging solution, and now does not even offer 20kwh. 6.6kwh is the max……

    So @Chris

@Chris…WHY does the aptera not support DC with the launch edition? What will have to be done to support it at a later stage? Wrapping the batteries? Installing cooling fans? Im wondering why this feature is suddenly gone.

2 large venues hired, no production started this year even though aptera expected to start this year.

Not even the delta fully revealed yet. Things look like they are not on track, not even close. So how fast is money being burned now?

The sad part is that aptera needs additional funding to make it…And apparantly is unable to find it.

Hey everyone. How much do you think aptera will ask for their first cars?

With inflation, unable to make it to production so far in terms of funding, i wonder how much precent the vehicle is going up.

Until now, aptera didn’t raise the price because they want people to preorder as much as possible.

The current aptera is too wide for EU use. I hope Aptera can start designing the EU version soon, because a fair amount of preorders come from Europe and they won’t pay for their orders if the vehicle is illegal.

Now that the design team is “finished” with delta, i hope that EU aptera gets a priority.

I would really appriciate a higher then 50kwh charging speed. On the 40kwh model i preordered it would require a ~40min stop to recharge to 80% again and those breaks are too long. 50kwh almost does not exist in EV’s anymore, its 100kwh or faster.

The excuse that due to more efficiency you get more miles doesn’t count, because you’re only fast charging on the highway during a longer journey. More realisticly people drive between 60 and 85 miles per hour and this would make charging stops more common. In our planning we need to hold account with slower driving to get somewhere because a full charge will take a very long time.

Please Aptera, don’t let the vehicle be stuck on the EV’s absolute early days, budget and lowest charging rate there is, and give us at least 75kwh or 100kwh would be appriciated. A 20min charging stop is good, healthy, short and not a pain.

From the past, i have readed 500lb. I am also interested in the possible third chair option aptera wants to give.

But if i calculate 3 persons in the aptera, then you literary have no space left for pretty much any cargo.

Is it still 500lb now we arrived at the gamma?

How much weight can we go over it, with what consequences?

Pretty certain that all pre-order prices are going to rise by at least 1000 dollar, more like 3000.
What we can hope for is that these pre-order prices are going to count for NEW pre-orders. But probably not.

According to the AMA, l2 functionality is not going to happen in the first production vehicles.

That’s really sad as l2 is nowadays basic functionality available on entry level cars. Distance-set cruise control, automatic parking, lane assist… These are then not happening anymore?

Watch this part of the AMA:

I agree, but think they will do the ipo at gamma phase.

you won’t have to worry about this, as the Aptera in current state is not even ALLOWED to drive in Europe. The maximum width for three-wheeld vehicles is 2 meters, across the whole europian union.

I for sure cannot afford the amount for a full Aptera, so I do hope financing offers will be made available, also in Europe.

    UI Improvements:
    – Make it simpler to see the current status of the vehicle. When clicking the lock/unlock button it should be showing “Your aptera is locked” or something else. Coloring it or showing “lock/unlock” makes it not 100% clear what the current status is.

I’m thinking a design where icons are organised in a better menu and then the status are displayed somewhere else.

    Feature requests:
Showing how much the solar panels are being of use for charging the car. Miles/km and of course watts being added. Perhaps with a intensity of sunlight on the roof effect.

    Bugs:

At least on my desktop, when i go from home to a other menu, a white block slides down from top and stays in all menu’s except when i go back to the home screen.

    Thanks!

First of all, my compliments to the progress already made. It looks quite awesome, especially for first looks!

Let’s use this thread to give feedback to Aptera and Blaze Tech to improve the mobile app.

Please use as little discussion in this topic as possible, so no quote’s or reactions, to make it clear for everyone.

In a reply, simply state the things that are wrong/buggy and feature or changing requests.

I am a bit worried about the price of Aptera, everything’s cheap. I think Aptera calculated things a bit too optimistically.

Perhaps it is a idea to increase prices by a amount to calculate in inflation and expensive parts?

This could work out well, instead of asking everyone who pre-ordered to pay more, which would damage the company, disappoint customers etc.

I also wonder how much it would hurt for the wheels to come ~11cm closer to the body, which will allow it then for europe laws and roads…

Surely stability is affected, but by a meaningful amount?

    that’s actually a very good question…

Thats a safe response from aptera i guess…but not a confident one. I also feel they might just skip the whole model then in europe if stability is truely so affected.. One for perhaps their new “myths debunked” video series.

But now I am sad, I don’t see good hopes that it will be legal here then. Lawmakers are fossils, they won’t change the maximum width for a startup company I would say.
