Wishing you the warmest welcome to the Aptera community!
We are designing Aptera to be very modular, require very little routine maintenance, and be easy to service anywhere in the world through simple design. Our goal is affordability and 24-hour parts, shipping, and mobile service will make most service tasks a breeze. We will open-source all of our services and build documentation that allows people to buy outside our service network, do service themselves, or with a local shop. We think the “right to repair” should be applied to every large purchase and we are very supportive of “do it yourself” rights.

We are building out our network of support technicians and our service documentation as we get further into full-scale manufacturing. Many more updates to come as we push the efficiency envelope on mobility. There are no limits to where we can go on a journey powered by the sun. Hi Ian,
Great question! While we gain some structural benefits with the battery bolted to the body, our pack is not considered structural. Battery swaps will be possible as the pack can be removed without compromising the integrity of the vehicle body. 🙂

Hi Aptera Members!
Some customers may have noticed the dates for delivery of Aptera have been updated in the member portal. We’d like to assure you that our production goals and timeline have not changed. 2023-2024 is a range that will depend on your specific configuration choice, reservation date, and where you live in the world. Our goal is to begin deliveries to our earliest Paradigm Edition customers in 2022, followed by as many U.S. customers as possible in 2023 until we ramp up to our manufacturing goal of 40 per day. We hope to start international deliveries in 2024. Our Aptera team will be reaching out to everyone individually with more clarity on exact delivery dates in the later part of 2022. Our priority is to build the highest quality solar electric vehicle while getting Aptera to our customers as quickly as possible. Our community is welcome to email info@aptera.us with any questions in the meantime.

You make a great point. We will account for this! We plan to offer a cargo net and dividers to shield between the luggage space and the cabin to prevent any objects from easily moving around. And to have tie down hooks included in the cargo area. Please stay tuned for updates! 🙂

We welcome the feedback, appreciate an honest critic, and are fortunate for the encouraging words of support. The suggestions and concerns presented in this dialogue will be shared with our engineering team for their review and consideration as we continue on the path to product launch.
The plan is to wrap the vehicle. We hope people find it easier to repair damages or switch out colors of their choosing. We expect our 3M wraps to have a 10-year lifespan. However, we are continuing to explore different options for the exterior finish of the Aptera. I would encourage you to stay tuned for more updates to come through our e-newsletter, website, and social channels. We appreciate your patience at this time. We will keep you posted!

Great question! We are still working on an appropriate sun visor solution and we will have UV tint in all our windows but you may need to add more. Luckily most places don’t have motorcycle tint restrictions. We’ll be making updates to our online FAQ page as further progress is made. We appreciate your patience at this time and thank you for starting this discussion. Lots of important feedback here.

Glad everyone was able to jump in here. Thanks for asking about this! It generally takes about a week or two after the funds are received for the investment to show up under “Review Investments” through your online Aptera account. I am working with our web team to make updates to the investment dashboard on all Aptera accounts. Unfortunately, it is not linked to the investment portal: invest.aptera.us. If your investment has been confirmed through the investment portal, it will become viewable on your online https://www.aptera.us account.
I look forward to getting your Aptera account up to date! It has been flagged for follow-up. I’ll keep you posted!

Hi there! The mounts for the Alpha pants are just not that strong. The Beta’s will have an inner liner that also braces the whole assembly to the motor. This will be MUCH stronger but no matter how strong it is they will still shake some because of the physics of having the pants travel with the wheel. It’s just a lot of mass moving quickly. But Beta’s will be a lot less noticeable in that department
