I had a 1969 Opel GT, and a 1983 Porsche 944. Also, a 1985 Saab 900 S, not a 2-seater, but enough for my kids in the back when they were young. I have also had a few other larger cars, but a diesel VW’s that got excellent gas milage. I have driven lots of miles, and the Mercedes diesels were pretty amazing. back in the late 70’s and early 80’s they outlasted the bodies of the cars and were built to just keep running.

In the first year, or maybe two years, Aptera will bend necks, and twist heads around. And yes, if you are a shy person, it might be a little much for you. The uniqueness of the Aptera will fade over time, when there are 10,000 or more on the roadways, then they will be a known entity. My suggestion is do not buy into the Accelerator program, wait until it is no longer uncommon to see one in the wild.

I am 75 and bought shares to become an Accelerator. Frankly, my desire to get one in the first batch is greater than ever. My worry isn’t about the eyeballs starring at the new vehicle, or discussions about what it is, my concern is that I will still be healthy enough to enjoy it, and sleep in the back on long journeys. Were I a billionaire, I would have written the check to Aptera Motors, as I think it is the best possible answer to personal transportation. Once the validation is done, and numbers known, if it comes close to what the computer projections are, then you will not be alone, you will be a trend setter in my opinion.

Aptera is for those who want the best, most efficient, offering made. Because that comes along with looking different than anything else, is a sacrifice I am ready to embrace. I happen to enjoy meeting new people, for the most part. Being a shareholder, I will be talking to folks, telling them how great a decision I made getting into that Aptera. I hope to sell many Aptera, just by engaging in conversations with others. I do that now, without the benefits of stepping out of the Aptera. Tesla had an offering which looked like the status quo, and no one was too put off by it being electric. Aptera is way different, and I for one, embrace that difference.

The Mitsubishi Chemical Group Embarks on Strategic Acquisition of CPC, Leading Italian Manufacturer of Carbon Fiber Composite Components to the Automotive Industry | News Releases | Mitsubishi Chemical Group Corporation (mcgc.com)

Does the buyout of CPC Group by Mitsubishi Chemical make Aptera less likely, or more likely? Just thinking it could help in the far eastern markets, or it could kill Aptera. Any thoughts?

The universe moves at its own special speed, and always arrives on time. Or good things come to those who wait. I am 75 and even with a Launch Edition, I hope to be healthy enough to enjoy my Aptera. Tesla makes a fine car, but this is almost 4 times as efficient as a Tesla, and not as luxurious, but maybe more fun to drive. Personally, I drive a Prius, and enjoy it because of its low operational cost. The Aptera will be much cheaper to drive, and more responsive I am willing to bet. Comparing the two is not really an easy task, as the Aptera in is a class of its own.

Getting closer to filling those top 2000 slots, as only 511 are remaining this morning. All it needs now is a push of some kind, a whale, or a fleet purchase from a national chain of pizza places, or a loan agreement for a bond, or CPC buying a 10% and stake opening an assembly plant, or Mitsubishi Motors signing an agreement to assemble at their plant in southeastern Asia. Those remaining slots will disappear quickly with any of the above-mentioned happenings, and possible 3 or more I cannot even conceive of! Or validation of the past claims about Aptera with the opening of the production line. The possibilities here are better than ever before, and the persistence of the fan base has helped to inspire Steve Fambro, and Chris Anthony to make it possible. The finish line is getting closer by the minute, I can’t wait, like a kid waiting for the Christmas packages.

Aptera will save the customer money by not having a dealership mark-up by selling directly to the consumer. Does marketing that make sense or should it just be too obvious through the process of purchasing. I believe investor like lean thinking, so we should have more coming to the party. Well, the party happens on the day of the IPO.

Because I believe it is a shift in the way things should be done. Design/efficiency/solar charging/in-wheel-motors, I could name a few more, like carbon fiber, monocoque structure for added safety, AI Comma open pilot, knock, knock entry, and of course being able to sleep in her spacious area, at a rest area, or while charging her up at the Tesla charger. Driving a Prius now getting 55+MPG but getting the 330+ MPGe from my Aptera will be wonderful. Cutting cost of travel six-fold. and doing it in style. Nothing yet produced looks like an Aptera, it is groundbreaking, and I want to be a part of it, (originally, I am from NYC.) I have driven all over north America, maybe 3 million miles by now, and I still enjoy driving, but I think with torque vectoring three-wheel drive in my Aptera, it will be sweet. I am so looking forward to the day I pick it up.

The $81 million dollars of equipment being purchased for the assembly plant without paying sales taxes is a wonderful bit of news (Aptera Awarded California Alternative Energy and Advanced Transportation Financing Authority for $81 Million in Equipment Purchases | Aptera).

California has been very supportive of them, Aptera has to be getting closer on the ATVM loan.

The company should be making it very clear to all and cut this doubt off. Unfortunate PR mistake, but by not saying much, except Chris McGannon in the discord channel (https://discord.com/channels/927984034678726696/1114230078533013504/1132017926065618954) there should be a more in-depth answer from the company.

At highway speeds, once the cruise is shut off, if you are not accelerating, and the regen kicks in, does the taillights indicate the slowing? Those behind might need to understand that you are not just keeping up the speed but slowing down due to the regenerative braking. Hope that is not overlooked. If you know about this, hitting the brake pedal to illuminate the brake light will be needed to prevent rear enders. The tail gating going on at high speeds is NASCAR like in some places, the risk goes up in these situations.

$17,000 is not a lot of money, however it was one to the first checks written, to NASA, for Langley to test out the design. The NASA engineers were baffled by how low the drag was, so much so that Steve and Chris taught them about ground effect. Wing suit pilots count on the compression of the air as they skim past a mountain. Aptera takes into account the strange effect of ground interaction of air stream with the body of the Aptera. Airline pilots glide into a landing, and almost have to push down at the last to overcome the ground clearance effect.

This topic should not worry us, the design is better than Lucid, and they claim to be the best currently at .20. This needs it’s Launch Edition to provide the naysayers the information they simply do not believe. Getting Aussie Idea man, (even though I doubt he has any ideas,) an Aptera. He said he would buy one if they make them, I want to see that.

I am fortunate enough to be in the position to invest, and now am on the leader board with about 900 others. I have never in my entire life seen something as compelling as the Aptera! I am 100% convinced it is what is needed in the world we live in. Sensible, practical, extremely well designed to get the most out of the device as possible. Sandy Monro said something along the lines of they are creating an entire new industry. As a young man, I watched VW Beetles become the most popular car on the roadways. Those Beetles have all rusted apart, that will not happen with carbon fiber. Possibly the next wave of a vehicle everywhere, is Aptera. 41,000+ inline, even if some of them fall offline, once the product is seen in the wild, and folks ask questions, and Road and Track along with Consumer Reports, and Wards, and Motor Trend writes them up, the crash test behind them, a MPGe rating from the EPA that will blow others off the charts, making it a Prius killer. I know we all know these things, but many do not have a clue about Aptera, we need to let them know. If you can invest and have the stomach for a start-up this is the best-looking unicorn I can remember! Talk it up as the venture capital guy are on vacation for the recession. We have the opportunity to beat the venture capitalists at their own game. Much less risky than two years ago, still very high risk, which usually works out to high reward when it does pay off. How long after the production begins will it take for an IPO? Market conditions will determine that, but longer term it just plain old makes so much sense. Delays are just that, and no one likes it, but is seems to be making the striving for excellence even more likely to be accomplished. Wishing all out there to talk it up, look for other believers, and show them why you believe.

The open pilot most likely will be an add-on to the Launch Edition, with the right to repair, it’s a simple enough upgrade for those who understand how to connect it up. Question then becomes, is this upgrade, a hurtful thing as a collector’s item, or does it not matter as it can be uninstalled also? I think on the interstates, this ADAS makes great deal of sense, and I wish to add it to my Launch Edition, when I pick it up.

With the right to repair, if you can find out how to do so, your Aptera can do so. The right to repair or modify as we see fit is part of the companies promise. My advice would be to accept what the smart engineers from the company have given you. The type of modifications of which you speak are more complex than most. The torque vectoring would be rendered useless, and safety might be lessened as a result. Not sure getting more regen will change much in way of range for the battery pack. It might be an experiment for you, but I would worry about that modification, and would not preform that on my Aptera.

Properly balanced, and good tires should be OK as hydroplaning does occur above 40 MPH. The torque vectoring, better than traction control, and antilock brakes, should make this capable of dealing with water, or snow on the roadway. As matter of fact the lightweight Aptera might be better in many snows as it will be able to stay on top of it, instead of sink in. My guess is the balance of the design will be a great benefit in poor conditions on the pavement.

I think the glologo is just fine, and I still would like an explanation of its origin and meaning. Looking like a leaf, to me, inside the shell of what “earth” and green like the trees? Is there a story behind this logo, or a reason it is part of the overall. The flying lady of Rolls-Royce is very recognizable. But she adds to drag, so she will not be on my nose of my Aptera. Being flat, and part of the body, makes it different enough, that I like it, but the reason it is the way it is, might be nice if I understood why it was picked. I guess I am not an art critique type, but to my mind the green is the vegetation of the earth, the new leaf maybe gives hope that the green on the planet will flourish. Anybody out there know?

I believe that Aptera is smiling and pleased to see this rush at the end. FOMO set in, (fear of missing out) and bingo the door was closed.

Now the π ( production intent vehicle) needs validation, which will make the words vaporware disappear, and whales will be opening vaults to invest.

My hope is whales will be asked to pay a higher price than the crowd has, as coming late to the party, when the risk is minimized shouldn’t they be asked to pay say $12.50/$14.00?

Proud to be on the leader board, very happy to see this crescendo at the finish. Chris Anthony and Steven Fambro must be pleased, despite the fact that instead of a few months for the program to be done, it took about a year, but they raised a larger amount than was expected by over 60%.

All us fans can be smiling, and we are closer to the day of picking up our vehicles! Way to go and a large thank you goes out to all those on the leader board.

Aptera will prove to be the game changer we all expect once validation process happens and we can drive those beauties home!

They can do a spilt, but until the IPO is about ready why do you think they should. It’s the same pie, just more pieces with a spilt.

3 to six months, during that time the company that has applied must answer all manner of questions, and then only around <25% in the past have qualified, however that was before the large amount was added to the pot, and more broad language was added to accommodate the “green agenda” of the IRA act which gave the program much greater funding. For build out of the grid, for greater battery development, carbon capture, Yada,Yada,Yada. When you focus on the area which Aptera fits into, they check all the boxes, and three-wheelers are no long banned, as they were in the original legislation. The program has changed, and they do not want anymore Solenders again. That was a solar company that got huge amount of money and then were gone. So, the program has morphed, a great deal, more checks, more paperwork, more questions and it takes too long.

Maybe too early for marketing dollars to be spent. The fan base is beyond amazing, and the judgement of crash tests, EPA ratings for how many miles/ MPGe is going to be a huge selling point. Just guessing but if more than 3% or 4% of the folks out there have heard of Aptera, if that. Meaning that once the production begins cranking them out, millions of people will twist their heads around when they first see it. Steve, at Aptera’s Owners Club, has done a yeoman’s job, but still many have never heard the name, or seen a drawing of it. Steve is getting number 17, from a man wanting to wait for the 1000 mile range. Believe me, I bet dollars to donuts, that Steve will be out there telling all he can about Aptera. The Automotive world, will write it up, as an upstart automatically gets press coverage. Sorry but spending money on marketing this product makes little sense to me. Like Sandy Monro said, when you see an Aptera on the road, you will not confuse it with a Honda, or Toyota or anything else. It’s so different, that until the order book shrinks below 10,000 waiting in line, why waste the money? Tesla is just starting to advertise, that tells me a great deal.

In any case the stuff we all know, will be there to market the vehicle and safety, plus efficiency will be enough of a story to get folks interested. Volvo and Saab used safety as a huge selling point, my guess is Aptera can too. Crash tests will be very important. Over 330/345 MPGe will get noticed and bring out the cheapest of the Prius owners. Taking a vehicle to the auto shows in Detroit, NYC, Los Angeles, Paris, Frankfort and others will suffice for a marketing effort for a few years.

Add a recession on top of it, and you have the makings of a Disney like epic comeback story. Viewing this exercise in disruption, is fun, and Harvard/Wharton should watch. I believe if taken as a group, Aptera were lumped into the names out there today, in the publicly traded stock market, Aptera would become odds defying. Investors will back this even in a recession, with the “Venture Capitalists” running for the exits. The entire concept is so well thought out, that investors will figure it out, and open those wallets and vaults. The times change, and this device is a gamechanger, and totally different approach to the problem of transporting ourselves. Aptera will come shining through, because it makes so much sense.
