Please reconsider level 3 charging. I ordered my Aptera in mid 2021 and invested at that time. I participated in the drive to support the Tesla charging plug assuming we would use the Tesla Supercharging network. I own a Tesla model X plaid as my primary vehicle. I would use the Aptera for business travel. I use the supercharging network a couple of times a month. I primarily charge at home but without the flexibility to use the Tesla network, the Aptera would become a glorified town car. I am an ambassador and had I been asked I would not have encouraged the release of the Aptera in this manner. If you must release a model to get into production make it the luxury model with all the options. You have the time to work through this since we will not see any models in 2023. Survey your customers and see what they will pay for. Please reconsider level 3 charging. I ordered my Aptera in mid 2021 and invested at that time. I live in California and am around the 5000 number so I should have plenty of opportunities to see if it is a good fit. I’m 6’4″ and have a long torso plus have a very stiff back. I can fit in a Honda CRX so I shouldn’t have too much to worry about. I want to ensure I can enter and exit without issue as I have some mobility challenges. I’m not opposed to putting in an aftermarket seat if all else is a-ok. I look forward to at least sitting in an Aptera before I finalize my order. A test drive is not necessary.

It’s not like selling water to disaster victims for $100 a liter but it is in the same vein. The Aptera company leadership I have come to know would never consider that approach to sales. It is an unethical practice. I could see a scenario where, due to inflation, all reservation prices might increase due to increased production costs.

    Ray,

I absolutely agree. I would be happy to show my Aptera and give someone a test drive. Having a vehicle such as the Aptera will create curiosity at least. What better way to educate people than let them take a test drive. I still remember driving my first electric car. There is nothing like experiencing the raw torque from electric motors. No turbo lag, no gears to fuss with, and no optimum torque rpm range. Just pure driving pleasure.

Lou I’m not sure the planet cares much about diversity. If its the old white guys that are the trailblazers for cleaner transportation I don’t think it should matter. Cleaner air is cleaner air. Besides I know as a OWG I have done my fair share of polluting so I don’t mind putting out a few extra bucks to make a difference. I think women in general are more practical than us guys. Give them wheels that are reliable, safe, and have some character and I think most are happy. Let’s here it ladies.

I have notice that Aptera uses young perky females in their ads. Maybe because they are more attractive to OWGs and they know that is their market.

I received a fantastic Aptera embroidered hat. It was amazing. Very high quality. Thank you. Go Aptera!

My new Tri motor Aptera Sol will be replacing my 2014 Audi S6. Believe it or not the Aptera will be faster 0-60. Go Aptera!
