I was able to watch it. It was pretty incredible, inspirational, and very enlightening. Makes me glad to be an investor and a switched to launch edition res holder. Another 10k would put me in current top three on the list but sadly it’s not in the cards at this time. I hope beyond all hope it works out, for all of us.

Is there a separate LE pre order queue? Will/can aptera track when current reservation holders made the switch or do we maintain the same order queue as our original pre order?

If you’re going over a speed bump or something with both front wheels at the same time then yes, where it is in relation to the center of the wheels is most important. But if you have to straddle something in the road(chunks of retread, tree branches, ice chunk off a mud flap)…just looking to save the belly pan if possible. When pants/skirt are easily replaceable of potentially modified to increase survivability. Weight was pure curiosity. I do know the weight of my vehicles.

I’d like to know what the belly clearance is.

It will be included, probably not more than 1500w though

You are correct…diameter. Most of the silicon wafers I dealt with in solid materials testing were for chips, so much thicker than those for solar cells and not flexible in the least. Finding the cleave plane was always fun if not marked. Back then 300mm was the largest diameter and was a big deal.

Do you mean the size of the cells? A group of connected cells make a panel. A panel can be almost any size depending on the number of cells used to construct. The size of a monocrystalline cell is dictated by the size of the boule used to cut it from. The largest is 450mm. None of them are appreciably flexible and can’t be made curved

Do we know the supplier of the brake rotors? Will they be available as a carbon ceramic composite? Regen braking can use little to no brakeing, leading to surface rust build up which can lead to excessive scaling, causing vibration and pad damage on iron rotors.

I think, of course, pigmented resins would be best or natural resin, waxed and buffed would last the longest. There is no escaping the detrimental effects of the sun’s rays when left out. But I could be totally wrong

Yeah, those were totally awesome! I thought they might give us a little something cheery for the holidays. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all

WOW, I think you’ve touched a nerve here???? They have no dealerships that may be likely to add large markups, and would most likely lose a great deal of credibility and trust if they tried to do it of their own volition so it’s unlikely anything like that would happen. I can only hope Joshua’s guess as to the purchase conversion percentage is close as I was late to the party. I am starting to have dreams about having my car…I can’t wait!

If of the same magnitude, the same will happen, only aptera doesn’t have anywhere near2 million reservation holders.

@Ruben Colon For me the switch button still shows up in “My account” on “My dashboard” or try the” View or edit your pre order” and choose what the LE consists of…Luna silver, 400 miles, All panels, All wheel drive system, and Codex

I’d say great enough that I wouldn’t want to risk it…weight/contact patch and lateral forces?

You can find it here for the launch edition. It’s incomplete though, as there is no assembled vehicles of any version as of yet.

It’s the width between the outer hub surfaces where the rims make contact with the hubs that determine the width of the track. Rim offset won’t have much effect on the total wheel width…you can only have so much before putting extra stress on the bearings. So having narrower rims/tires will only change the distance between the insides of the rims/tires, not the overall track width. The body and/or the suspension arm dimensions will need to be altered to narrow the track width.

I think the 44.928kWh battery size for the 400mi option was based on the 10mi/kWh range guesstimate with the all important buffer capacity added in for battery longevity purposes. I think all the battery sizes will take that into account plus what’s necessary to compensate for the pack weight to net as close as possible the stated ranges for the range options.

    Hi Steven,

Thank you for this question! I look forward to getting you a more in-depth answer from our Engineers. For now, I can let you know: Our advanced aerodynamic shape and the vehicle’s ability to slip through the air have some real benefits! You barely feel semi trucks as you just slip through their turbulence; the vehicle does not generate lift at speed. For people concerned about stability at high speeds; Downforce on the rear of the vehicle is about 25 pounds at 65MPH.
