Just jumping in to say that, while the addition of DCFC to the Launch Edition was a major win for Aptera, the lack of clarity on the inclusion of an ADAS system is the main thing keeping me from switching my order to the LE. I’m not worried about ADAS in the long-term, because it seems like it’ll be easily added in follow-on cars. But I’m too spoiled by Tesla Autopilot to go back to a non-ADAS vehicle.

The car looks great. I’m not a fan of the yoke, but maybe I could get used to it, I’m not sure. I think the second screen adds unnecessary complexity, so I wish they’d stick with a single center screen to keep costs and production issues at bay. Of course we’re all just armchair quarterbacking, and I’m confident the Aptera team has considered all of this.

I’d like a reliable, ultra-efficient car that’s enjoyable to drive. I nerd out on stats and I hope the UI will be more nerd-friendly than the Tesla UI (in other words, let me view all the readings and metrics collected by the car’s sensors without having to use a 3rd party application–I’ll even pay a small subscription fee to have access to that “premium” data). I did love what I saw in the recent video about the UI development–the range ring in the main display is awesome! I’d also like to know that there are technicians trained to fix the car in my area if it needs a repair. I’d hate to truck it back to California if there were a major issue with the car.

Range anxiety is a thing of the past.

With 1,000 miles of available range, access to a nationwide network of fast chargers, a base price under $27,000, and jaw-dropping performance, Aptera is the electric vehicle for people who didn’t know they wanted an electric vehicle.

A 2011 Ford Fiesta my wife drives. I already have a Tesla Model 3 so this will make us a 100% EV family.
