I am interested in the Aptera for what I would consider completely different reasons than most people. Efficiency, great! Stand out design, great!

One of my main interests in Aptera is the lack of maintenance aspect.

After two spinal fusions and 3 hernia surgeries (I worked hard in my youth), I can no longer do routine maintenance. Oil changes etc. are a thing of the past in my life.

With the in-wheel hub motors there is no transmission to service. Brakes and motor seals are almost the complete list of routine maintenance.

Am I excited for the performance? Absolutely!

I switched to the Launch Edition as soon as it was available. Only the interior color is different from what I had decided on.

    Order date: 6/24/21

I’ve been curious about this too. I’m planning to use my Aptera as a daily driver to and from work almost exclusively. It’s 32 miles one-way. Figuring 35 mile solar charge daily (a little conservative to be slightly more realistic for my location), I shouldn’t have to plug it in. Maybe once every 3-4 months if really needed.

I won’t really be draining the battery and the solar panels will keep it fully charged over a full week. This is what I would consider “normal” use for this vehicle. It makes me wonder how the batteries will hold up long term without more depletion on a regular basis.

While I can’t say I’m a fan of some of the changes that are being shown in the new Beta renderings, I can say those changes are not deal breakers. What would keep me from continuing to want the Aptera would be seat and driving comfort. After two spinal fusions, one at each end, I don’t enjoy getting in and out of short cars. A comfortable and adjustable seat is a must, as is the ability to sit up while driving. I cannot do the lay-down sports car thing anymore.

Drove through here this weekend twice. Test driving the Aptera through here was on my mind both times. Windy road with lots of bumpy areas. Would be an excellent place to tryout suspension and handling. Hwy 55 running from southern to central Idaho.

    Unique

1 – Little to no maintenance

2 – Little to no fuel needs (occasional plug in at home for my needs)

3 – Eager to answer all the questions I’ll get and show off the car!

Glad to finally see the Luna in action. Luna is what I have chosen for my Aptera. I would like to see more, including a layout of what makes the Noir, Sol and Luna unique, other than color.

I was able to get the .stl file from the previous forum prior to it shutting down. This is a 1:43 scale model of what appears to be the Alpha model. This model is 4.5mb in size. I am willing to share this with anyone who wants it, but this current forum will not accept .stl’s for uploading.

Send me a PM at m.me/mrpaulrowe

I am currently printing this in 1:10 scale and want to adapt it into Remote Control.

Aside from what is offered, of which I only want the stereo and off-road options, I would like to have a fully adjustable seat. After several spinal fusions an adjustable, comfortable seat is more important than most other options. Seat adjustability, along with entry/exit ability, has done more to determine the last few vehicles I bought than any other considerations.
