Yeah, that was my hope with this post… to get an official statement from Aptera because rumors, theories and all manner of speculation can fly in chaotic directions if it isn’t addressed.

Sandy Munro made a statement in a recent podcast (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGk2v9K5pJE&t=1517s) saying that Aptera moved away from in-wheel motors. Did he mispoke, confused, or is there any validity to it?

Sorry if this has been mentioned already. Aptera should have a 360 degree view of the vehicle on their website. This gives a potential customer a better feel for what they can expect without seeing it in person. Maybe they’re waiting until production intent to put one up but thought I’d just mention it.

I spoke with Chris Anthony at the Fully Charged Show yesterday and asked him about what the first production vehicles will be. I remember him saying that it will be the 400 mile AWD (not FWD) with full Solar option. I’m not sure if I misheard him so can someone else confirm if this is correct?

I initially reserved the 1k mile option but have since changed to the 400 mile AWD w/ all solar and I live in SoCal so maybe I’ll get lucky 😀

Taking into consideration the wheel covers and in wheel motors, how easy or what’s the process if you had to change a flat tire (is there even a spare?)

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this. I couldn’t find anything in the search but Lew Later did a small segment on Aptera back in Dec 2020 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0upghdeZAc).

Anyone know if he’s gotten in touch with Aptera? Getting him to review the car when it’s available could be a big deal since his Unbox Therapy channel has over 18M subs and he mentions in the video he’s open to reviewing it.
