Gamma drive videos are coming I believe. The Aptera team is busy and finding a time to meet up has been a little challenging

Let’s be perfectly clear. Aptera is production limited, not demand limited. They already have 35k+ preorders and it will take them 2 years to get through that if production goes smoothly. Once these things are out on the streets in customer hands reservations will skyrocket with zero advertising. It looks so unusual that EVERYONE will notice. Most people won’t “get” it but the few that “get” it will immediately want it.
There are almost 20 million cars sold in the us annually. 1 percent of that is 200k a year. I’m sure 1 percent of the population will “get” it. I’m not sure that Aptera will be able to produce 200k a year.

The forum participation tracks with the viewer demographic of Aptera Owner’s Club
It would be interesting to see the demographic for Aptera’s own YouTube page but I’m going to guess it’s similar. Almost all male and mostly older. YouTube does not give any ethnicity information but I suspect it is mostly older white males.
I think it’s because Aptera is unconventional and appeals to people with a tech or engineering background. People that are more secure in society are more willing to try unconventional things. Also you have to have some level of disposable income to be interested in an novel unusual thing. Also you have to have the time to spend discussing said unusual thing.

I completely agree with you. We need a sentry mode on this vehicle. It looks so unique that it will elicit strong feelings positive or negative.

I think they should tie the credits to efficiency because the goal is to reduce energy consumption.

I seriously doubt that the first delivery will be in 2021. How many new EVs launched on time. Has any Tesla vehicle launched on time? When was Rivian supposed to deliver a vehicle? How about Fiskar? Lucid? Lucid was supposed to deliver a vehicle in 2020. I think they might BARELY make the end of 2021.

Great video. I just wish there was more technical information. I don’t mind the “meet the team” vibe of the video for the first video. Next time let’s get more specification and information though 🙂

Sarah or someone from Aptera, can someone clarify how the credits would work? Would there be a refund of $1000 per referral since all of us will have already bought the vehicle and paid for it. Or would it only be useful for a future Aptera purchase so we would need to buy TWO Apteras to get any value out of our referrals?

Curtis,
Could I use your google spreadsheet in a youtube video? How would you like me to credit you?
