I don’t understand people complaining about having a couple dozen or so extra accelerators. The vast majority of these people invested the minimum, they aren’t going to displace anyone. Ties go to who invested first, so a bunch of $10,500 investors in positions above 2000 aren’t going to impact anyone else who has already invested a similar amount. And of course more money in the bank means we will all get our cars a bit sooner.

While I expect there will be enough ‘extra’ bags, but they may not choose to put the numbers on the vehicles (#2033) or otherwise truncate the goodies betting that these folks will take their delivery … and run 🙂

Still a few entries creeping onto the leaderboard, up to 2063 now.

The vast majority of them seem to be late updates from the investing sites, but there are 3 which are possibly after the cut off point, which is interesting.

Interesting and a bit upsetting. I would have liked a defined outline and a clear explanation as to what the game plan was on how they will handle the top 2,000 and how they plan on reaching that number. For instance, many who have invested earlier and continued to add investments to reach the LB, when does their investment date count? Will they be the forgotten ones? I definitely would have preferred a pop up window that said to all investors that the LB is complete and no further slots will be available. I just feel sorry for those who invested their hard earned money to get on the board and then find out they were denied. Still waiting for some type of communication to come out of APTERA itself explaining to everyone how they are handling all this.

Pretty sure they’ve already stated how this is being handled. Anyone who invested before Aptera posted that the program had ended, and who’s total investments add up to at least $10K, is “on the board”. So there will be slightly more than 2000 accelerators, which isn’t a big deal. No reason to feel sorry for anyone. You either invested before the program was posted closed or you didn’t. If you didn’t, that’s on you for waiting until the absolute last day.

As one of the 2000+ accelerators, it doesn’t matter to me how many are after me. The only slightly significant accelerator slot number is #1. That is of ZERO value to me. But maybe someday at auction that one will be worth some money to someone that wants to own the first one delivered to a customer.

No one seeing your Apters is going to care if you LE has 1273 on it’s badge or 2023 or 323. To be perfectly honest, I don’t really want to be in the first 500-1000 deliveries. The more of them they build, the better they will get a putting them together and ironing out the bugs that will inevitably surface.

As of today, there are 2005 paid-up Accelerators, and 59 with investments not yet finalized. So we are now at the stage where there could potentially be up to 64 additional Accelerators in the program, although obviously some of those 59 won’t come to fruition. I don’t believe Aptera is going to drop any of these people from the program if there is a chance they eventually pay up. After all, every little bit of investment helps Aptera get to production.

As we know, there will up be to 5000 Launch Edition vehicles sold, so the only people really being displaced by the additional Accelerators are those who have reserved a Launch Edition but haven’t made that minimum $10k investment. I noticed that the 41 lowest ranked Accelerators all invested exactly $10006.50 which is 953 shares at $10.50, the lowest number of shares you can purchase and still be above the $10k mark.

I would be surprised if any more than that number of 41 actually pay up in the end, although I suspect there are people in that list of 59 unfinalized investors who have the mindset of “trust but verify” and are not going to finalize until they see more evidence that Aptera is going to production in the near future. Others may be tire-kickers who can’t afford to invest, but hope that something will change for them between now and the end of the year, or whenever it is that Aptera finally starts kicking people off the list in preparation for starting production of a finalized list of vehicles.

Yet others may have the ability to borrow the money, but can’t see the point of paying interest on the loan when there is no hard production date in sight, and there could be more delays extending into 2025. So they are just sitting on their Accelerator spots in the hope that Aptera will eventually get a whale investor or get approval of the ATVM loan, and get started with production sooner rather than later.

2065 Accelerator spots and climbing… Could someone (preferably from Aptera) please explain how this number is increasing daily? It is somewhat unfair to earlier investors. I know some investments were not yet finalized, but that is a different group. I can also see overshooting the 2000 limit as growth was very quick before the deadline. But why are spots still being added more than a week later???

It takes some time (perhaps weeks) for the slots sold before the 1/31 closing of the Accelerator program to show up on the leader board – that’s why the numbers are going up.

Looks like 2065 slots with still 59 unfinalized, some of which are more than a year old. The total at $34.5M.

Now 2067 with 51 still to be finalised. My guess is that about half of the 51 will eventually get finalised.

Not understanding why some of these investors have not been finalized…several are over a year old and many others are 6+ months old. Can someone who has experience in this style of investing explain what is happening here. Shouldn’t there be some type of timeline or cutoff to either accept or deny?

$34.52 now! Seems like it only closed yesterday with $33+. Let the battle continue.

Are the number of non-finalised entries increasing? It seemed to drop at first, but over the last few days seems to be going up again? (bounced payments maybe?)

It held at 2067 for several days and this morning (6:27 EST) it is at 2068. Amt raised is still slowly creeping up. Don’t know about the non-finalized numbers.

Still seem to be 59 unfinalized slots:

Yes, I noticed that as well and they total about $1M. I am now wondering if updating the list depends on who will actually go forward with the vehicle purchase or if they are choosing an LE. There may be a number of considerations which we are not aware of.

I think it is only applicable to UAE orders?
