In the first 2 years of production BMW i3 were only available in the California market, there is a reason for that. California is almost like its own country and it is treated as a totally separate market.

There will be a large backlog once production does start. Why should they spend a dime at this point (they are trying to be as lean as possible) to transport any vehicles unless it’s for trying to gain investment opportunities? Once APTERA begins a revenue stream, that would afford them the opportunity to showcase their vehicle.

I’m not an east coast hater….I love the east coast and have many fond memories and can’t wait to tour it in my APTERA

I’m in Maine and would love to see Aptera make an appearance at a venue in Boston or NY. I understand that it’s not practical for them, but it’s fun to think about.

When they have production vehicles they need to do an East coast tour. I would never buy a car that I haven’t test driven, there are just too many things that you can’t get from spec sheets, the seats could suck, the handling and ride could be unacceptable, the UI might be unusable. You have to drive the car to know any of that. The prototype that they take to shows isn’t the real car. It would be interesting to see it in person but it won’t have any effect on my decision to buy the car if and when it goes into production. What I want to see is the real car and I want the chance to test drive it so just going to an auto show isn’t good enough. Ideally they need some stores like Tesla has but if can’t do that then they need to have some cars that make a regular tour where you can sign up to try them.

I saw a photo of an event held in Charleston, SC over on Facebook. Ambassador Barry Robinson had a nice tent with information (no vehicle). Is it possible to get advance notice of these local events somehow? Or at least know if an Ambassador is in located our area? I would attend just to see the reactions of the crowd and meet with someone else who actually knows what an Aptera is!

Also, on https://aptera.us/events/ – none of the events list the state, just the city. I’m guessing that most are in CA, but it’s annoying to have to look it up on Google Maps every time to see exactly where XYZ is located. I have relatives all over the country that I’d like to notify if there is something nearby. Aptera, please make it easier for those of us who are geographically challenged! (I have an excuse since I’m a product of the FL educational system. 🤣 Everything is literally north and/or west of Miami and the FL Keys.)

Hey Aptera, this is a wake-up call. I’m in Charleston, SC and NOT on Facebook or any other social media platforms. I had no idea this was happening in my hometown. Please let us know about these events – “Events”, “News”, texts, emails or other means of communication. This is the first time I’ve heard that there is an Aptera Ambassador in town and I certainly didn’t know about his attempt to spread the word. I would have loved to have been there. I would have invited everyone I know to attend and would have offered to help out.

Laura, I applaude you for your efforts, but even Aptera dose’nt have an Aptera event with out an Aptera.

I will have Aptera events when I have one to show. I do currently talk about Aptera at local EV events. But other than showing the online info and handing out busness cards with the $30 discount offer, there isnt much more that I can do. I do have one referal that is on the leader board as well as my self, so the investments are helping as well.

The picture I saw was a really nice info booth at a local EV show, put up by Ambassador Barry Robinson. It’s an event, but a smaller local one. The idea is to reach people who have never heard of Aptera, and just having an info booth is absolutely a worthwhile effort, IMO. The issue is that finding out about these small events is near impossible. Our small town has LOTS of these things going on, usually produced by the business community, aimed at locals, and advertised only in the immediate area. I would drive 100 miles to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale (which has literally hundreds of these things going on every single week) if I knew that an Aptera Ambassador would have a booth. You don’t need an actual vehicle to get info out. The goal is to have word of mouth networking, resulting in more reservations and possibly selling out those last Accelerator slots. I think finding a billionaire at these things would be unlikely, but networking can work in mysterious ways.

My ask: figure out a way for us to find out about these smaller events being done by Ambassadors in enough time to make plans to attend.

Note – IN ENOUGH TIME is the key factor here. I’m so. annoyed. every single time I hear about something too late, or after it is over. Not everyone can just drop everything to do whatever they want within an hour. Some of us need extra time to arrange the rest of our lives in order to be able to have spare time. Like – a couple of weeks minimum. It’s not like these events happen in a couple of days… whenever a spot is reserved, then notice should go out for the rest of us.

I talk about EV from my experience but mainly “ what I know about Aptera at my state ( AZ ) ‘s EV chapters ….through the EVA chapters I support…

    tucsonelectricvehicle.org

    route66eva.org

Or check out the national site or events

    myeva.org

Each site posts their events through the year.

I typically attend the the above AZ chapter zoom meetings.

There is an auto show in Charlotte NC this weekend, 11/17-11/19 2023, Does anyone know if an Aptera vehicle will be there, or whether any enthusiasts will be there? I’d love to meet up if so!

    Hi guys, EU-apterian here.

Has anyone heard anything, from just rumors to announcements of an aptera vehicle coming to Europe in 2024?

I know there are or have been some at the factory of CPC for the hull production but I dont think I could just go there and sit in one 😀

So any idea where this could be possible in 2024? Maybe at https://uk.everythingelectric.show/london

Living in Germany it would be worth travelling there just to “meet” an Aptera vehicle.

Very unlikely any Aptera showing up at a public event outside of the US this year.
